I will be getting full SS in July, but I just don't have that passion and interest in what I'm doing anymore or being a business owner, been there done that, off the bucket list. I just want change do something different, do something I haven’t done. I have no idea what I really want to do ... Sams Club greeter, warehouse worker to Politian or VP Marketing Operation, I enjoy working and at 65 years old I still have my good physical health and wealth of knowledge, so I will look for some type of work after the holidays.imex99;1673335 wrote:Retiring or what's up? -

ernest_t_bassBelly, instead of closing your doors (and forcing job losses), why not sell the company?

My employees are taken care of and all have (with my help) gotten other work after Dec., as for selling. Both business are small markets so the local completion will get the customer sooner or later so why buy .. I have sold both of my companies internet and UPS customers, one to a friend in another city and the other to a small start up company down south. I’ve made a nice profit from both companies over the years and a little on the selling of the internet/Ups customers, it was never about being greedy just want to get out of the business.ernest_t_bass;1673351 wrote:Belly, instead of closing your doors (and forcing job losses), why not sell the company?
Two years ago my health was failing and I was in bad shape, I made a commitment to get health, limit my stress and physical demands so I could spend more time enjoying my family without the commitment of a business owner. Now I want to do some thing different with my life… maybe a English professor and Brown Mackie -

While "said" may be a troll/POS/etc the one thing he does is respect and thank Veterans for all they've done.BR1986FB;1673387 wrote:"Salto" might not, but "said" will

Midstate01To me this is completely different. This is companies coming out and offering you something. Completely different than someone going in somewhere and saying hey what do you do for military or do you have a discount. More often than not, it's spouses that do this as well. MOST military don't want to be recognized as anything.
Dropped my wife off at the airport today so she could go to training for deployment and afterwards went to cracker barrel and some lady went to pay her bill and asked how much off she got for veterans day and the lady said we don't have a discount, you get a free desert. The lady said I can get it for you to go if you'd like. The other lady said, a desert??? No thanks. Lol.
Those are the people that I think Durkie Hates most. And I don't really disagree with him.
I'm a military spouse but I'd never ask if someone gives a military discount. If it's offered to me though, sure I'll take it. -
