My father-in-law wants to do an "Italian" style Thanksgiving this year, which I think means we are having a full Thanksgiving meal plus a pasta meal. I'm not 100% sure on that.
We go to my mother-in-law's for Thanksgiving and they are a big Italian family (30-40 aunts, uncles, cousins there). They do both the traditional & also homemade noodles and sauce Italian dinner. I like both very much!

Damn, that's a lot of people. I think we'll max out at 15 people this year, but only 10 are confirmed.

Do you inject it first with a marinade? We fry two turkeys each year at my workplace and the guy injects both of them before frying....yummy!

We are going back up to Ohio to do Thanksgiving with my wife's family. Should probably be 10-15 people there and at least 7 dogs lol.

It's the first year were doing Thanksgiving at our house. I think we're expecting between 15-20 people. I'm guessing we will serve Turkey, a Honey Baked Ham, stuffing, mash potatoes, cranberry sauce, and cheesy potatoes. I'll have my mom bring baked beans, a cheeseball and pumpkin pie. Hopefully I can get my mother in law to make a pecan pie and bring it.

on a side note...what is the most nasty traditional Thanksgiving meal food?

To me it is a tie between stuffing and pumpkin pie.

My cousins and I will deep fry btwn 10 - 15 turkey breasts in the 8lb range from Weds thru Fri for family and friends. Virtually every one will have a different injection and rub. The ceremonial "rubbing of the breasts" has now become a Tiernan family tradition that attracts many family & neighbors for the first bird on Weds night. Of course many frosty adult beverages are also consumed during the fry process.

This. Thanksgiving is EASILY my favorite holiday, and it's not even close. Better than Birthday... Better than Christmas... Better than Halloween... etc.

I'm close to convincing my dad to do the turkey on the charcoal grill.

Stuffing is awesome! Has to be homemade though...the fake shit from a box (stove top brand) = no good!

Fall into the trap all the time and try the stuffing at various get togethers, events, etc thinking it will change.
