Thorogood boots

  • justincredible
Anyone have any experience with this brand? I found a pair on Zappo's that I really like and the reviews seem good. Just curious if anyone on here has ever had a pair.

    Wonderful.

I had some. Hated them. Most uncomfortable boot I've ever worn.

Do you have weird feet or anything? Serious question, everything I've read (at least on this specific pair) is that they are extremely comfortable.

This is the pair I am looking at:

  • salto
They are shit Justin and were designed when nobody knew anything about feet.

If you're not walking or standing much in them they are probably fine but most hard soled leather boots are shit as for proper fit, proper gait and proper support for any pronation issues.

    and they look kinda gay.

    They look very hipster

No. Typically I have no problem with any shoe. This one was terrible though.

Yeah, they usually have a good hockey team.

Yup and they are shit too. Only old stupid men wear them because that's what they've always worn.

I had a pair when I was younger and loved them. Not really for work, just for your basic shit kicker boots.

I'll take your word on that since you're apparently the expert.

People like to hate on Red Wing for the same reason that people hate on Bose stuff. Bc stupid as fuck.

Wolverine is another brand, one that I actually have work experience with. Had a pair of insulated steeltoes that were damn near bulletproof and very comfy.

For real, though, I can't really find a pair of boots from this company on Zappo's or Amazon that has bad reviews. Most are 4.5 or 5 stars out of 5.
  • Iliketurtles
I've never heard of this brand so I don't really know anything about them.

I had some Red Wing Boots and didn't like them. I was able return them and got some Wolverine brand boots similar to the type Automatik said and loved them.

yea yea yea. OK, it all depends on fit. Did you try on multiple pair of boots before purchasing those or did ya get lucky ordering them online?

The boots Justin posted look to be a straight last boot.

I don't order shoes online that I've never tried on before.
  • Automatik
No I tried them on in a store. This was in high school and I also use inserts 75% of the time.

I use VIP Zappos a lot now, so ordering/returning shoes for fit is a non-issue.

    .
Hmm, imagine that. Usually if the shoe fits properly or has enough cushion you shouldn't need extra inserts.

I've ordered work boots a half size large in the past just to add an insert for more cushion but all that means is your insert is comfortable and not the boot.
