mcburg93Not sure what is causing that but we have lost 3 100+ year old hard maples the last year due to some stupid beetle. Have the traps out and hope its stops the issue.

ZWICK 4 PREZmine are dropping needles and I had to take 2 down. Something's killing mine. I also have fungus in the ground under it so I'm sure it's that.

Belly35In the 30 plus years of living in my home and having 6 big pine trees they have never lost this much needles ever. This year because of the winter I lost 4 Buttlefly bush, 6 rose bushes ...
Its never Obama fault he blames everything on someone else -
Oldman82If your trees are white pine then I believe they drop their needles that are 3 yrs old. So three years ago if your pines grew alot their could be more needlest than what you're use to.

YEah, the winter took a toll on some of my shit too. Couple of rose bushes were almost down to nothing, a few bushes pretty much had to get pared down to the ground. Not sure what it was called but the 4 I have and the couple the neighbors had saw the same fate.Belly35;1663017 wrote:In the 30 plus years of living in my home and having 6 big pine trees they have never lost this much needles ever. Local landscaping guy wrote about it in the paper this spring how the harsh winter will affect alot of it and some may come back in time. Oh well. -
Belly35I'm expecting another harsh winter again.
I'm wrapping some of my bushes with burlap and or plastic to protect them this year, cheaper to buy them replanting bushes.
