I wonder what happened to the rabbit.

From the OP at Yappi :

Love him or hate him, he was a frequent poster here. I had a bad feeling when he didn't post about the Big Red/Massillon game.

Scott Carlton, 66, passed away on September 19, 2014, in Renton, Washington.

He was born in Steubenville, OH, on June 14, 1948, to John Amos and Florence Divich Carlton.

Scott was a 1966 graduate of Steubenville High School and went on to earn bachelor's degrees from Kent State University and graduate degrees from Kent State University, the University of Dayton and the University of Texas at Dallas.

He was a foreign language teacher, interpreter and computer programmer.

He is survived by cousins, Nancy McFarland of Commerce, Texas, and Mary Divich of Steubenville, OH, and special friends, Leonard Obert of Seattle, and Faith and Bob Barnett of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Scott was an accomplished ice skater who toured with Holiday on Ice/Europe and South America in the 1970s.

He was an author and avid coin and stamp collector who judged countless shows and published books and articles on those topics.

One of the biggest joys in his life was the years he spent singing with the Seattle Men's Chorus.

He was an enthusiastic lifetime Steubenville "Big Red" football fan and faithfully followed his college alma maters' athletic teams.

As much as the dude was a complete idiot and was completely blinded by big red, it is still sad to see someone from here has passed away.

    Lol nice

His priorities re: HS football were way out of wack and he said some pretty ridiculous things. But it sounds like he lived a full life and got to do some cool stuff during it.

Either way, if I ever found myself happy someone from here died, I'd probably take it as a sign I badly needed to reassess some things in my own life.

Is he dead like your "brother" is dead or is he dead like Robon Williams is dead?

Yes, he will be 5% missed.

ok, that felt awful but I just couldn't resist. Agree it's sad to see someone from here pass. Even if an anonymous message board, it still feels like a genuine acquaintance. I think he was an interesting guy that might have been nice to have a beer with and hear about some of his experiences.

Look at the immature, lack of respect responses on here and maybe you a-holes will realize why there are 8 people viewing. Cut me to pieces, I don't care, I just thank the Man above I don't wear your shoes.

Leave it to an old fart entitled piece of shit boomer to teach us about respect. Respect is earned, not given simply because you exist. LOL, "the man above"; please save your fairy tales for the insane asylum.

^^^^Respect is given until you do not deserve it. That goes with being courteous to strangers, holding doors open for woman, tipping when applicable, and helping out in general to anyone in need ,and that could included a homeless person.

We don't treat each other as good as we used to as a society. It's definitely a me generation.

You don't respect a person who disrespect's you.
