Any advice or reactions? I've never been, but the wife and I are thinking about stopping by around New Year's for a few days. Worthwhile? Anywhere in particular to go or avoid?

Yes. We're visiting my parents (in Lorain County) over Christmas, then planning to leave the kids at get away for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. Nothing booked quite yet but plan to do so shortly.

Well there sure is shit nothing else to do in Lorain County. Hocking Hills is a great time; top 6 State park in the world.

Just about everything in Hocking Hills is awesome. Back when I was in college, we went there all the time for "toke-n-hike" expeditions. Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave and Cedar Falls are the three places we hit up the most.

Suggestion: dress warm, buy warm boots and get Boot grips the walk in the caves and paths can get slippery make sure the cabin has a hot tube, not sure the zip line run in the winter... hope this helps

Cantwell Cliffs are a bit iffy in the winter conditions, be careful.
