I grew up about 1/2 hr. from there. If you want some good pizza go to Wally's, it is only a carry-out though. When I am in town visiting the family, I usually make a trip there. As for best non-chain restaurants, I would recommend The Forum (they have good variety menu), Bear's Den (if you want a good steak/ out of town a little ways), or Mr. Lee's if you want a Mom & Pop diner type meal.

Cracker Barrel is the only good thing there.

I always liked Coney Island. Went there with the folks about 6 months ago when I was back in town and thought it was still pretty good.

I presume your going to be on 70. Forum in Cambridge isn't half bad. Personally I'd stop in Zanesville and eat pizza at Adornettos and get Ice Cream at Toms Ice Cream Bowl

When Cracker Barrel is the best a town has, it's time to find another town

Or just burn the damn place down and start over. Lord, remind me to never go anywhere near this place if Cracker Barrel represents high cuisine...

I was going to go along these ways too. If you want another joint, microbrew and pizza at Weasel Boy Brewery in Zanesville. Another decent sit-down joint next door is Muddy Miser's.

Tony A makes pretty good pie. Too bad that Nick guy's gambling habit got the best of him. Niccoletti's was the best pizza in town for several years.

The Forum is kind of popular. I've never ate there though.

I work in Cambridge. Try The Forum. Lots of good choices, and locals seem to enjoy it.
