Especially when I work only a half day on Friday. Sometimes the military has its benefits.

My contact from one of our top vendors will be in from Taiwan. Probably try to take him out one night this week.

Just got an email... forgot I had a "Lunch and Learn" today for this new system they are implementing. So hooray for free lunch! Other than that just another boring week.

End of the fiscal year is approaching. September is a busy month for government contracting. I wish the fiscal year ended on a month that i did not give a fuck about (i.e. february).

Our fiscal year ends at the end of September, so the auditors are here this week doing their interim testing. It's nice to be on the other side of the equation and leaving at 5:30 while they were still pecking away at their keyboards. I'm hoping they use the expense account to take me out to dinner one night this week though.

Preseason is done. One exhibition is done. Another exhibition on Tuesday. Alumni game on Saturday. School starts on Wednesday. Finally...life is busy and exciting again!

    On the work related front.....

I have to laugh at all the teachers on facebook complaining about how busy they have been the last week, working long hours, to get their classrooms ready for the year. Oh cry me a river.........
  • Automatik
Slow as fuck here. It's the calm before the storm. "Distributor show season" is coming which means increased interactions with incompetent sales reps. :@

I'm with ernest on this. I started last week and really haven't done too much to get ready. I find that it is mostly women and/or elementary school teachers who freak about getting rooms ready.

Exactly. My dad, brother, brother in law....never really hear them complain about anything but the women....wow, they make it seem like they are on mandatory 12's/weekend/holiday shift!
