Kids being left behind in a hot car?

I'm sure there a plenty of instances where good people do dumb things, but that's not my point. I'm saying that I personally can't fathom leaving my child in a car by accident, and IMO, it's irresponsible for a parent to do so. Are there scenarios where it happens and the person is remorseful? Of course, but that doesn't make them any less irresponsible in that particular situation.

Seems like the change in routine would actually make you MORE aware of the child in your car.
Distracted by the change in her routine, she says she completely forgot her little girl was sleeping in the back of the car.

I don't want to get into the whole debate about this... but I'm thankful for the longest time I did sports and now take a laptop home for my job that I always put in the backseat of my car... so now no matter where I go, whenever I get out of my car I always look in my backseat.

For that link that gblock posted... how the fuck do you walk past the passenger side that the kid is sleeping on 6 times and not fucking notice. I guess I can see someone just getting out and walking away forgetting but to walk past 6 times and not notice is just wrong.

The newness should never wear off no matter how old a child is.

There is no reason, excuse, whatever, short of what S&L said (leaving them there intentionally) or being too drunk or high. You do not simply forget your child is in the car. Period.

So HitRus is a terrible parent for his story? I gave you shit because you came in here and immediately got up on your soap box.

I can't fathom the reason/excuse of "accident", not the act itself...sorry to confuse you.

taking a page out of Sleeper's book, how poor are some of you that you still lock every door when you get out? I mean, I don't think you can find a car anymore that isn't power locks.
