ZoltanI don't order from their very much, but recently I ordered three different items I had been needing for a while. Me being an idiot, they somehow got shipped to my old place in a different state.
Anyways, today I called them and received unbelievable customer service. One item was in transit so they simply redirected it to my new address. Another item was sold straight through them so just issued a replacement no questions asked, and the third is a third party item so they gave me an immediate refund and put a new one in my cart if I want to re-order.
All of this on the promise that my old apartment would return the goods. Is this normal? What if my apartment doesn't send them back? Total value of the items is under $200. -
AutomatikYes, sounds standard for Amazon. Their customer service is top notch.

I doubt anything will come of it if they don'tZoltan;1622926 wrote:

like_thatYes, amazon customer service is the GOAT.

ZoltanYeah, I was certainly impressed, but this almost bordered on bad business. Oh well, I'm not complaining.
-
MulvaThat's definitely typical of amazon.

birddog23I recently returned an item that I ordered from Amazon. While going through the returns process a message popped up saying I was a valued customer and to keep the item I bought and still get refunded the money.

It was probably going to cost them more money to get you a prepaid ups label than it would've been to just let you have the item.birddog23;1622976 wrote:I recently returned an item that I ordered from Amazon. I'm guessing it was a small/cheap item.
They erroneously sent me a bunch of diapers once and I had to mail them back -

It was a $20 book that I ended up buying at the bookstore the day I ordered from Amazon.dlazz;1622977 wrote:It was probably going to cost them more money to get you a prepaid ups label than it would've been to just let you have the item.

Because I'm crazy! Who knows what I'll do next?! Maybe get gas even though I'm still on 1/2 tank. You'll just have to wait and see.ernest_t_bass;1622987 wrote:Why would you do that? -

Shit, don't do it.birddog23;1623035 wrote:Maybe get gas even though I'm still on 1/2 tank. You'll just have to wait and see. -
McFly1955Amazon has ridiculously good customer service...I spend thousands there a year for the last several years and I don't have 1 bad thing to say about them.
-
ZoltanUpdate - I did get an email this morning that says they will need the first item ($50) returned to avoid additional charges. That makes sense. I just hope since I my old apartment is doing it, and not using the normal return process with the label they have provided that the return gets recognized in the system.

I Wear PantsAmazon has always been amazing when I've had to deal with their customer service.

IliketurtlesWell I hope amazon's customer service is as great for me as all of you are saying it is.
I will be filing a claim tomorrow with them(stupid that you have to wait 3 days after the stated delivery date). But I ordered something from a 3rd party person on there. Paid for it right away like always. 2 weeks went by and still didn't get any notification from the seller that the item had shipped. Sent him an email about it no response. A week later I emailed him again and nothing. Item is still showing as "preparing for shipment" lol I ordered it a month ago. -

should be good as long as its been 30 days (or the estimated delivery date has passed).
edit... Just saw the delivery date part. You'll get refunded for sure. They might offer something on top of that, but less likely since this wasn't amazon fulfillment -

It doesn't go as smoothly with a third party vendor, but in the end amazon will always redeem you. I ordered shoes on amazon from a third party vendor. It never reached my address. Amazon directed me to the third party vendor. Through a chain of emails, the third party vendor would not budge, and the lady i was dealing with practically was starting to troll me. I just forwarded the chain of emails to amazon and they not only redeemed me, but they also got rid of the vendor LOL.
