Not sure on the hotel yet, and we won't know until we get the wedding invite. I actually know very little about Nashville, so I don't even have any "must see" things on my list as of right now. I plan to do a little research in the coming months.Manhattan Buckeye;1608628 wrote:Depends on where your guys' hotel is, but cabs are relatively inexpensive, and there will be great music from downtown down Broadway to the West End and Elliston Place. An not just country music (an unfortunate stereotype) - just really talented musicians. Loved Nashville, would definitely move back there if they'd have us - which they won't! -

Look to see if Leroy Powell is playing when you are in town. If so, go see him.Fab4Runner;1608633 wrote:Not sure on the hotel yet, and we won't know until we get the wedding invite. And Open Rail, if you enjoy bluegrass. Ugh, Nashville is so much fun, wish I was there now.justincredible;1608634 wrote:Look to see if Leroy Powell is playing when you are in town. If so, go see him. -

Hopefully it's at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. One of the biggest and nicest hotels I've ever stayed it. If you are staying there they have a huge mall right behind it with a Dave and Buster's.Fab4Runner;1608633 wrote:Not sure on the hotel yet, and we won't know until we get the wedding invite. Just hit up Broadway and go to all the bars. My personal favorite is The Stage they normally have a pretty good musicians playing.
I love Nashville one my favorite cities. There is so much do you'll probably have too many "must see" things and won't get to them all (at least that's what always happens to me haha). -
Fab1bHeading back to Fl in a few weeks for a wedding in Jacksonville. In August we booked another resort in Playa Mujeres with a few other couples.

Yeah, the one thing I wouldn't recommend would be the Loveless Cafe, nothing wrong with the food, it is just a bit of drive outside the city and you are looking at a long wait for a table. Pancake Pantry is a good option in the West End. There are plenty of great restaurants within the city, and of course, fantastic music. Such a great city, and not just country music. I saw Nine Inch Nails and Tool doing their Prison Sex tour....not exactly family friendly music!Iliketurtles;1608644 wrote:Hopefully it's at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. I would have to disagree about the Loveless Cafe. Definitely worth the drive.Manhattan Buckeye;1608658 wrote:Yeah, the one thing I wouldn't recommend would be the Loveless Cafe, nothing wrong with the food, it is just a bit of drive outside the city and you are looking at a long wait for a table. Good call on the Pancake Pantry...just get there early as the line could be out the door and down the street.
I would also suggest trying to get tickets to the Bluebird Cafe if you can. Great place to visit and you never know who you are going to see there. -

That is most definitely true, ugh, I miss living there. -
