Hard to imagine just how twisted and convoluted the radical 'university left' has become. Attempting to describe how warped these minds are is futile. Just stunning. -

Manhattan BuckeyeIt is Brandeis, some people might care about this.....all 7 of them.
Most people know that the inmates starting running the asylum at higher education establishments years ago - faculty and annoying students alike. Best to ignore them. Enjoy college for what it is, a good place to meet professional connections, maybe even meeting your spouse, good sports programs at some places, and maybe even get laid after a party. -

It wasn't, and how is it working out for young people now with generationally low employment? If someone wants to have visible tattoos, multiple piercings, and dress provocatively that is their choice. But the person making that choice is taking a risk with how some other people perceive you, especially employers.thavoice;1603073 wrote:Maybe not back in your day.... -

Yes, because a college student wearing yoga pants to class = unemployment. Con_AlmaNo sweat off her brow. Wouldn't imagine she would be too interested in having an honorary degree from an institution that is "inconsistent with HER core values".

I live in a very conservative area with extremely low unemployment. I dont see nearly as much of that stuff locally as to when I travel into Dayton or Columbus where it seems ya run into freak shows all the time. -

That wasn't the point, the point was that someone that wears yoga pants to class will likely also do it in other situations that aren't appropriate, including the workforce. Guys can't say anything about it because if we do it seems like we are sexual cretins, so its up to HR (almost always women) that have to be the enforcers. I've never seen a guy sent home from work because of his clothing choice, but I'm sure if his pants were halfway down his legs with his boxer shorts exposed it would have happened.like_that;1603084 wrote:Yes, because a college student wearing yoga pants to class = unemployment. On the other hand, there have been multiple incidents when women were told to go home and change because their clothing was too tight/transparent/or too booby. From a professional perspective it would be difficult to argue with any of the decisions. When a client or customer comes to your office, they probably aren't expecting to see outer labia. -

I dont know about that, it could be a very good selling point!@Manhattan Buckeye;1603091 wrote:That wasn't the point, the point was that someone that wears yoga pants to class will likely also do it in other situations that aren't appropriate, including the workforce. I dont make the connection though with college kids wearing yoga pants like you are trying to make. The multiple visible tats, etc you said...yeah, but no not on board with your yoga pants crusade -
HitsRusLol....when did colleges become so particular in inviting controversial figures to campus.
Imagine the conundrum going thru a liberal's brain....what are you to think about a women's rights advocate who doesn't want to place nice with Muslims?
The answer lies in the fact that the left are not really staunch women's rights advocates even though they pretend to be. They are only for women's rights if they can conrol them thru their advocacy.....if they are independently thinking women that don't follow the script, then they are C***s....just ask Bill Maher. -
TiernanI remember the uproar when Jane Fonda spoke at OSU in '74. I didn't agree with what she said but I sure as hell supported her right to say it.

Correct. The reality is, for the left, it has never been about women's rights; it is only about power. The thought police now running amok on campuses, in government, and in media care only about one thing: their group think, which will be forced upon everyone
else once they have complete power.
Fuck 'em. -

It is about deflection and power. On another note no person that has ever worked in business thinks that a woman truly makes only 77 cents per every dollar a guy makes for equal work. If anything women get special treatment including the ability to take less pay for fewer hours. Nothing wrong with wanting to do that, but it is very disingenuous to make it a social issue when it isn't one.QuakerOats;1603147 wrote:Correct. That's true, but aside from Fox news, the media power is pretty much completely in the other direction. Even parodies like Jon Stewart's Daily Show and Saturday Night Live that were at one time sort of equal opportunity making fun of our elected "servants" have shifted pretty hard in the last few years. SNL was awesome during the Bill Clinton and W years, yet it seems to be afraid to even question the current administration.Heretic;1603151 wrote:As is the reality for the right. Next. -

Sort of thing that makes me glad I don't watch TV "news" and haven't seen SNL in over a decade. No use for any of it.Manhattan Buckeye;1603169 wrote:That's true, but aside from Fox news, the media power is pretty much completely in the other direction. And that is why FNC is usually way ahead in the ratings.Manhattan Buckeye;1603169 wrote:That's true, but aside from Fox news, the media power is pretty much completely in the other direction. Not because they are so much better, but because the one group has ratings spread out over all the other news stations, and more conservative people have FNC. -

Gee, I wonder why. I give you exhibit A: Lois Lerner, and the IRS treasonous abuse of power; and exhibit B: Catherine Engelbrecht, victim of IRS abuse of power, FBI abuse of power, OSHA abuse of power, BATF abuse of power.
The assault on liberty by this regime is chilling. And the brainwashing on college campuses is not far behind. -

AppleNo surprise here... Support of diversity and freedom of speech as long as a person thinks and speaks the way they do. Its the modus operandi of the progressive liberals on the left.
