He supposedly has a triple cork that he didn't attempt. That's an insane amount of rotations.

Personally, I like the older throwback style ie. Danny Davis, but "spin to win" is the way the sport has evolved.

Shani Davis didn't answer the question right. You lost because 10 guys were faster and better than you. That's what happened.

    What did he say?

Kept saying he thought he did his best until he saw his splits. Don't think he talked about anyone other than himself

Either US media has been overhyping some or our medal hopes, or we have athletes choking left and right:

Supposed gold-medal favorites who didn't get any medal:
    Bode Miller
    Shoni Davis
    Shaun White
few women's snowboarding I might be forgetting.

In defense of Davis and White, both were going for a threepeat in their respective event which is extremely hard to do. Not so much choking as their run at the top is over.

Wow, a TIE for gold in women's alpine.

Which begs the question - would sharing the gold be at least a little bit less satisfying than winning it outright? You won the gold medal, but you weren't THE best.

Most of these chick boarders are little hippie hotties but that Kelly Clark is one real bow-wow barker. Her 'stache is better than mine sheesh.

double luge just seems like a really weird sport, like one of those sports created for 2nd-tier competitors of an event (i.e. synchronized diving)

Damn chinks and Koreans took our best short track sprinter out on the turn like Roller Derby. This chick's mom and sis are on jail for making & selling Meth. You gotta give her credit for somehow finding the funding to pursue a sport like this that obviously costs a lot of money for skates and ice time. You don't think she's selling her mom's old product do you?

I enjoy it, but I don't like how, barring a fall, the race is usually decided in the first 20 meters.

WTF was up with that interview with Bode Miller last night?

So awkward, couldn't believe that they aired it, and that the report kept pushing it, knowing he was on the verge of breaking down over his deceased brother.

Then when he is on the ground crying, she is still hovering over him wanting to push it more.

Am I the only one that thought that was crazy?

    No. That was awful.

I didn't see it, but reading stuff this morning and mostly everyone is slamming NBC. It's one thing if an athlete brings up a deceased loved one and it becomes a touching story. But this was just NBC trying to fabricate a moment and looking like a bunch of assholes.

That was pretty shitty. She kept pushing and pushing and pushing.
