The great burrito debate, revisited...

  • bigdaddy2003
It's Chipotle for me. I used to go to Qdoba but Chipotle came in and Qdoba was gone in a matter of weeks. I guess Qdoba is good in other locations but this one wasn't vert good. I want to try Hot Head but there isn't one near me.

I also forgot Currito, which is actually one of the best. It's a pretty small chain, though.
I've never heard of Currito haha. I'll have to see where they are at doubt there near me though.

As for Lime Fresh go check them out. Their Salsa bar is the best and they also have Queso for everyone that is in love with it. I also love their menu options. I'm a big fan of their Quesadilla's.

Thanks for the link figured they were mostly around Cincy which I never stop at haha. Might have to make a stop and give them a try at the one in Florence, KY that is right off 75 sometime when coming back up to Ohio.

I think hot head is meh. The meat is bland and they rely too much on their sauces rather than just tasty ingredients

    Chipotle<qdoba<<<<<<<<<hotheads
greater than Qdoba great than Hotheads
    <qdoba<<<<<<<<<<<<hotheads

The first 2 are similar enough I'm not sure it matters. But I have Chipotle all the time, and only had Qdoba a couple times because of proximity to me. We have a Hotheads, and been there maybe 3 times, and for a reason. It's ok, but no Chipotle.

Why can't I use greater than and less than signs in my posts?</qdoba<<<<<<<<<<<<hotheads

Ironically, we were having this convo a few days ago and everyone was in agreement. I just don't understand why they won't get queso. It's not enough for me to say no if that's where people are going. But if given the option, I'm going where there is queso!
I would love the queso as well.

    1. Hot Head... You can pick the spice level of the meat, they have queso, their sauces are great. The downside is their rice isn't as good as chipotle. They also have lots of options like nachos, quesadillas, and tacos.

    2. Chipotle. They have the best rice by far. I always get a bowl and ask for a dressing with it. The dressing is chipotle vingarette and is the best dressing I have ever had. Without the dressing I would have burnt out on chipotle from eating it so much.

    3. Qdoba I like the shrimp option

Taco Tantos in Kent is pretty good too.

But not really. It's the same meat, they just throw some sauce on it when they make the burrito. I actually thought that was pretty lame.

Theres also a new Burrito place in Athens called Big Mammas Burrito, it's not bad , but the Buggy blows it away

Chipotle. Hot Head is okay and one is located right behind my work place but Chipotle is a lot better.

Yeah. Like I said they rely way too much on sauces rather than quality ingredients. All their ingredients are frozen GFS

I like Burrito Buggy but I was more of a fan of Big Mama's in Athens!

I'll eat at any of those places but if you are ever down south check out Tijuana Flats. They are probably my favorite at the moment and the hot sauce bar is a plus.

Chipotle for me, tried Qdoba a while back and it was just alright, nothing memorable or that would make me wanna go back. Heard there is a really good spot in columbus near campus, can't think of the name.

I'm aware of this. And it's noticeable.

Chipotle doesn't need queso. Their food is fine the way it is. The ridiculous lines at almost every location I have ever been to back up that thought.

Just because their food is fine currently doesn't mean it couldn't be better. Queso makes everything better. Everything.

Chipotle is better with their salad dressing -- it's like a honey vinaigrette. I will never get Chipotle without it now.

    Chipotle steak burrito is unbeatable
