We purchased a foodsaver back in 01 and it has been a great investment. When we put veggies up we put salt pepper garlic and butter in with them. When we pull them out of the freezer we just put in boiling water in about ten to fifteen minutes have veggies ready to eat.

I bet those soups and sauces aren't the only things she 'sucks and saves' AMIRITE??

I've never had a food sealer though. Although friends who have one love theirs.

Put a straw in the corner of a ziplock. Make your wife suck out the air and seal quickly. Inexpensive poor people vacuum sealed.

Anyone else get the marinate option?
Quickly marinate meats in 10 minute really works great.

I have a foodsaver sealer without all the bells and whistles...works great. I just sealed up 40lbs of chicken breasts for my new deep freezer. The only drawback to them is the cost of the foodsaver bags, although there are probably alternatives.
