I have a case of incandescent 60 watt bulbs and I'm going to use them at home basement, work shop, attic, shed places like at. At the warehouse I have long florescent lighting, my friend was contacted via AEP an given a estimate to replace those florescent because they will be illegal to purchase. Their estimated cost to my friend was 6000.00

Actually there is a change in one of the most commonly used flourescent tubes....the old 40 watt 4 ft long tubes will undergo a change that will require consumers to replace the ballast in their fixtures, or just buy a whole new fixture...(recommended). The new tubes will burn out very quickly if used in old fixtures that have not had their ballast replaced with the new technology. That may be what Belly is referring to when he says 'convert'...and it is a moderately expensive to replace all the fixtures at warehouse or large facility, or to have someone replace all the ballasts. The change will result in significantly less energy usage and cost savings...and there is no need to do this all at once as flourescent tubes that are currently in the fixture may last for years.

not sure but I think this change effect all lengths of florescent bulbs.
This is my point ... For many small business this is a problem created by government that hinder small business. For many small business a 6000.00 hit could be the difference between making pay roll or having to let someone go ...

Are you talking about T12 fixtures?

    ^^^sounds like it.

again, this should actually save you money, and there is no need to convert the whole warehouse all at once. There is no law you will be breaking if you continue to use the old bulbs while supplies last.

If this were coherent I'd reply to it.

The difference between me and you is that I use rational thought to produce my opinions, whereas you just pull random shit out of your ass and then act like a stubborn prick when it gets thrown back in your face.

You didn't create a thread to generate thoughtful discussion, you posted a narrative that basically opened the door for you to insult the gubmint as soon as anyone replied. Like normal.

    That's true. I don't like my job. Like...oh I don't know...80% of people?

That doesn't mean I'm going to up and quit (which is probably something you would do since it is a moronic, baseless decision). I set aside about an hour each day applying for jobs.

If I had the capital, I'd run my own business too. Unfortunately, your generation left mine in a shithole mess so the prospects of that are basically nil until I can get a better paying job.

    Get off your high horse.

Spoiler: You aren't the wise old man that you think you are. With every post, another OC user realizes how completely out of touch with reality you are. Since there's only 20 of us, I'd say there's only one or two people that appreciate your posts. One of which is isadore, because he's also completely out of touch with reality.
