If a wealthy Black individual not adopting White babies the less likelihood of the standard Black couple would .... Yes .. No
this host and her guest should be ridiculed and publicly taken to task in the same manner as to what Phill and Duck Dynasty was subjected to... Don't you think? -

There wasn't a racist comment made. Tasteless yes. Racist no.
Now kindly STFU and move along you've got nothing here. -

Marley hispanic... Good try. However great respect to Demarcus and his family for doing the adoption very honorablermolin73;1560122 wrote:You wanted one example well here you go. Demarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys.

Because of this "tasteless" comment by the host and guest .. No big deal nothing should happen all is well is that what you're saying?
Tell that to a number White guy who made "tasteless" comments... -

She is white you can try and dispute that but you come off sounding dumber by the minute. Once again why does it have to be a wealthy black family that adopts? Answer that.Belly35;1560133 wrote:Marley hispanic... Good try. However great respect to Demarcus and his family for doing the adoption very honorable

The host apologized for her tasteless comment. What more do you want her to do. But please show us where there was a racist comment made? You know the point of your whole thread. -

here I'm going to help you out. 47 percent of all adoption are transracial. The percentage of White babies available for adoption is far below the percentage of other races and many White babies are adopted before birth. So the likely hood of Blacks adopting White babies are very unlikely because of the percentage. And you thought it was a race issue...
The basic implication and the ongoing race bantering joking suggested individual making the comments have racist inclination. -
rmolin73
I'm fully aware of the adoption statistics. So you are essentially saying that since there isn't a percentage of wealthy blacks adopting white children that it doesn't happen? Once again there are black families that have adopted white children. Can you dispute that? Why are you trying to correlate wealthy black adoptions to just general adoptions? You are the one who made it about race don't try and twist it on anyone else.Belly35;1560159 wrote:If a wealthy Black individual not adopting White babies the less likelihood of the standard Black couple would .... oh god, the humanity.Their irreverent and inappropriate joking about the Romney's adopted African-American grandson should not be something the network, and we as Americans, take lightly.
Let's be honest here, this was in poor taste for a professional news organization. But the only reason this is still being discussed is because it gives the right something to tattle and point fingers at MSNBC for, ahem, racism, a criticism commonly reserved for Fox news and their ilk.
Thinking that any of you are truly offended is bullshit. -

My God, I just had a vision of Jay Carney!Let's be honest here,
Yes, let's be honest here....the "it's only a joke, you couldn't possibly be offended" defense hasn't worked for years! -

pmoney25Making jokes about a baby is pretty low class and tasteless but I hardly see anything racist about their comments. But we might as well continue talking about things that have absolutely nothing to do with the fact our country has about a million legitimate problems going on.
-
HitsRusUsually when someone tells a joke or a story, and race is the crux of the humor, it is considered in poor taste and offensive....and the teller is often labelled 'racist'.
Correct me if I'm wrong. -
pmoney25
You are wrong. Not everyone who tells a joke about race is a racist. Again it is pretty low and classless to use a baby as a joke but I don't see any hate or anger in their statement which is what I associate a racist to be. Full of hate and anger towards other people.HitsRus;1560544 wrote:Usually when someone tells a joke or a story, and race is the crux of the humor, it is considered in poor taste and offensive....and the teller is often labelled 'racist'.

Seems like the people who watch Fox News and MSNBC are just making stories out of nothing. I think it is a waste of time to talk about this. I think about 50 people probably watch her show.
It's only an issue because it was on a political talk show. -

I agree with your assessment, but not in how political correctness is applied. Not everyone who tells a joke about race is a racist. pretending? No pretending needed. What is so F'in funny or unusual about a conservative white family adopting a black child? Are we too racist to bring a child with different colored skin into our families? Republicans adopting a black child....how funny!...a token...Hahaha.by pretending they're upset over bigotry?
Sorry, but I'm not buying into that stereotype that liberals get away with perpetuating. I;m from a pretty conservative part of the state and know 2 couples who have adopted black chidren, and my cousin has two Korean children whom he loves as much as I do my own. Hahaha...wouldn't it be funny if his daughter grew up and married Kim jong Un's son...hahah... My cousin being related to Kim....cause Koreans only marry Koreans , right? -

Conservatives highlight stuff like this mainly to demonstrate the left's self-serving race baiting. -
Devils AdvocateI think it's funny that people are so "outraged" Better have that vag looked at.
Or try some of this.

Let's try to keep that in mind the next time someone makes a slip of the tongue or makes a 'joke' in poor taste.
Guarantee you won't!
