E-CIG, acceptable or not?

  I have been using an e-cig for almost two years which has been my fix that extinguished a four can a day dip habit that I had for sixteen years. I have been very respectable with my public usage of the e-cig, in restaurants or in places where smokng may not be accepted, I just don't do it. My wife hates the vapors cause it burns her eyes, so I don't want to be offensive to others either. I see people vaping all the time in restaurants and places where others can be affected by something they don't want to be a part of. Here's my question, do you think it's right to vape away in public areas that smoking isn't accepted or should I just toke away?

  For starters, people need to stop calling it "vaping" or whatever.
  
  Otherwise, I don't really care. It is more distracting and noticeable than before because there aren't 12 other people smoking.
  
  Didn't know some people got irritated by the vapors...I think it's probably less irritating than some colognes and perfumes.

  I say go for it. The vapors dissipate very quickly, so you're not going to bother anyone that isn't directly in front of or beside you.

  You used this to quit chewing, so shouldn't you be working to stop doing this, too?
  
  You should take the opposite approach, and be looking to add MORE places not to do it. Although I don't know, seems like nicotine is a pretty harmless drug with some positive benefits (like caffeine).

  I did use this to quit dipping. I started the e cig at 30mgs of nicotine and now I'm down to 6 mgs. Nicotine is actually a poison used as a pesticide at one time. One dip is equal to nine cigarettes worth of nicotine, I'll take the six for now. Yes, my goal is to quit this too.

  It may be socially acceptable if it is proven that no second hand "vapors" cause health issues.

  Those aren't E-cigs. Those are pens used to smoke hash oil. Stop living under a rock, you live in Cali.

  "Vaping" is huge here Dallas. I like hookahs myself and I have tried the vapor without nicotine and the flavor was good. The vapor exhaled (as a non cig smoker) is by no way offensive to me like cig smoke!

  If it helped you get off the chaw great. But don't be a douche and do it in public places. Sat next to some idiot at a bar the other night and it really didn't bother me but it looks so damn dumb it was distracting.

  I hate E-cigs; even more than I hate regular cigarettes. E-cigs might be the stupidest, douchest creation on the face of the planet. Nothing says "smug" more than E-cigs; not even hybrid cars. I know a couple tools at work who sit there at their desks and have E-cigs and the take puffs of it WHILE SITTING AT THEIR DESKS IN FRONT OF THEIR COMPUTERS. "Oh man... I gotta have a toke on this E-cig because I need my puffs, man. But it's okay, because it's just vapor, so it's alright that I do it inside."

  I'm not a fan of your typical ecigs, but vaporizers are solid. I don't own one, but I have some friends who are nerd level into it.
  
  I don't even mind if people blast them at a bar, but at fucking work or a restaurant...not ok.
