  What I hate about pictures like these, is in the "before" pictures, they make the participants look as ugly as possible. I find it hard to believe that some of them are truly that ugly every day.

  Yeah, the pics on the left mostly look like mugshots. A couple of them look like they'd be fairly attractive in normal lighting with just a little make-up.
