Ocean City?

Anything decent there? Casino hopefully within a short drive?

Wife booked us for a mini-vacation. Ocean front but obviously all ocean stuff is out except the view. Said something about Assateague (sp) Island (sounded like it sucked)

Not looking for much. We don't get out much...just a few days away after Christmas without the kids.

I have never been, but my girlfriend has been there multiple times. She loves it. We're trying to go this summer.

    I know this didn't help.

Obviously WAY better in the warmer months.

It's only a half-hour further to go to North Myrtle, probably should've gone there, at least a chance for decent weather down there.

OC, MD is dead in the winter. There's not a lot going on at all. Many places close and are seasonal.

Ocean City, Kansas is really hoppin this time of year.

    Nice place, in season.

Love Ocean City in the summer. If you can find Thrasher's fries this time of year....get them. So delicious.

Other than that, no idea. I have never been there in the winter.

I would skip our on ocean city.

You might be able to go Ice Skating at the Carousel if that's of interest to you. You mentioned Assateague, that's going to be pretty quiet at this time of year too.

Yea, 8 1/2 hours to get there, only 9 to get to North Myrtle. It's 67 degrees in N. Myrtle today, 43 in Ocean City. We go to N. Myrtle every February to golf, it was unseasonably cold last year, but it's usually in the 60's down there in early February.

Anyways....it's just a 3 day thing. I know a beach north of Florida isn't going to give you a beach experience in December.

Simply....I have about 18 days off for break, we got a nicely equipped master suite for $306 after all the shitty taxes. We've been to Myrtle and VB.....just wanted to go somewhere we haven't been. Relax, eat a few nice meals, have a great view. Looks like they do have a casino nearby also.

    It's different....we'll make it work.

U.S. 50 in West Sacramento has a sign that displays the mileage to Ocean City, MD.

    3327 miles?

Never been there in the winter but I go usually 2-3 times a year in the summer (only live about 2 hrs away). I'd imagine there won't be much to do in December. Mainly the best parts about ocean city is the beach and the bars/clubs. The boardwalk is decent but I'm sure everything will be closed. Good luck 👍
