What was the last movie you watched and how would you rate it?

Mantooth and I are seeing It Follows on Thursday. It was a limited release, but the reviews and numbers were so great that it's opening in more theaters. We are jazzed.

Wasn't sure what this was, so I googled it. I see that Keir Gilchrist is in it. He did an okay job in the Showtime original series United States of Tara ; I prefer Brie Larson

I don't know who either of those people are. I am not concerned about the cast when it comes to most horror movies.

Anyone excited for Fast 7. I actually enjoyed the last 2 a lot. They know what type of movie they are and they deliver

    Absolutely not.

Missing the first 6 of the series probably doesnt bode well for trying to watch the 7th installment.

I stopped watching after 2 fast 2 furious i think.

    Interstellar, absolutely outstanding.
  • Fab4Runner
I missed 3-6 in the Furious franchise, but I am sure I will see them all eventually.

5 is by far the best, then 6. They are basically Italian job movies anymore lol. But with the rock dropping awesome 1 liners.

I watched bird man over the weekend. I thought it was pretty meh. Great cast, good acting but the story didn't do much for me.

    Interstellar. 8/10. Really enjoyed it.
  • Fab4Runner
It Follows - 8/10. Mantooth and I both really enjoyed it. It is suspenseful, and there are a few moments that make you jump. The music is amazing.

5 and 6 were actually good and I'm guessing 7 will be to. They literally are now 95% action from beginning to end. They don't try and have some amazing writing or huge plot instead their simple and to the point and filled with action. I appreciate that they know what they are and they deliver.

I guess 8 is taking place in New York.

    Birdman. 6.9/10.

Just finished and I enjoyed it. Acting was great. Ed Norton is just awesome. But something was just off. It is obviously weird, but I think it just didnt work well. It was about as good a movie as you can have, without being a 7 on my scale lol.

DEFINITELY not worthy of Best Picture, imo. Still upset Grand Budapest was so overlooked.

    Wizard of Oz lol

Incredible how far ahead of it's time and how many sayings/phrases are from that 1939 movie.

    5/10 because I've seen it 20 times.....but it's a 10/10

For Love of the Game - 5/10. That was the corniest movie ever. I had seen bits and pieces before, but watched the whole thing the other day. Dumb.

Completely this. Went in thinking it was a movie about baseball. Didn't realize it was going to be some smarmy, corny love story with just a little baseball sprinkled in.
