Bill Murray is really good. -
sportchamppsJust finished St Vincent. I haven't laughed and felt that sad during the same movie in a long time.
9/10 Bill Murray is great. I recommend everyone watch this movie. -
Uz2Bon36Finally watched Edge of Tomorrow on HBO. Really fun. Will watch again.

Just watched it. Thought it was pretty good and definitely left me very curious as to what is going to happen in the next one.O-Trap;1705090 wrote:The Maze Runner - 8/10
I admit, I didn't have a ton of expectation, as I simply haven't heard THAT much about it, but I was pleasantly surprised. -

You forget 3 boobs! Greatest cinematic achievement of all time.Heretic;1704708 wrote:Greatest bastardization of a book/story ever. Turning a bleak dystopian future into ARNOLD THE SUPERHERO and over-the-top action set-pieces. Brilliant!!! -

Most early James Bond movies treated the books similarly. The first 3 movies are the only ones that attempted to stay true to the books.Heretic;1704708 wrote:Greatest bastardization of a book/story ever. Fab4RunnerFifty Shades of Grey 10/10. Lulz.
Honestly, I went into this movie with super low expectations. The books are HORRIBLY written, so I knew it had to be an improvement on that, but it was way better than I thought it would be. -
O-Trap3 Days to Kill - 6/10
Very little backstory development, and the plot felt very generic, but the acting was good, and the suspenseful scenes were well done.
Reasonable Doubt - 5/10
Samuel L. Jackson did a great job in his role, but the plot was very predictable, and the line scripting was kind of cheesy.
47 Ronin - 3/10
With a good cast, the writing took a complete shit. It was absent of suspense, and the characters had no depth. -

Edge of Tomorrow was very good. Definitely a pleasant surprise when we saw it in the theaters.Uz2Bon36;1705334 wrote:Finally watched Edge of Tomorrow on HBO. Really fun. Will watch again.

Agreed. One of Cruise's better films in the last several years.Scarlet_Buckeye;1705559 wrote:Edge of Tomorrow was very good. Definitely a pleasant surprise when we saw it in the theaters. -

The actors made the most of what was there, so all of those 3 points are from them. The writing was putrid. Such a waste of an opportunity.Commander of Awesome;1705565 wrote:I didn't even make it 30 min while drunj. 3/10 is being generous. -
steubbigredfury is a top of the line war movie ... very good, accurate and violent ..

friendfromlowryJust out of curiosity, what would everyone give Meet the Parents? I'd go 9.5 probably. One of my favorites all-time. The third one, which isn't too bad IMO was on TV today. The second one was a POS.

Benny The JetWatched Chef the other day...really enjoyed it. Fun, light movie. 8/10

justincredibleThe French Connection - 7.5/10

Fab4RunnerThe Imitation Game - 9/10.
Loved it. The acting was excellent, and I liked the way the story flowed. The only negative was the horribly sad ending, which is not the fault of anyone involved in the movie SINCE IT WAS REAL LIFE ASSHOLES WHO CAUSED IT. -

Absolutely excellent movie, and the ending was, indeed, very sad.Fab4Runner;1705766 wrote:The Imitation Game - 9/10.

Cumberbach is really becoming a stud in major films. He played Ford well in 12 Years a Slave. He was excellent as Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness. And he was excellent in this. That doesn't even include his roles as Sherlock Holmes.
I have high hopes for this guy. -
Lovejoy1984Watched the Purge. 6/10.
Needed more backstory. Who's the new founding fathers, what exactly happened?
Also was kinda predictable, once I saw the neighbors at the beginning was obvious they were gonna be out to kill them, either part of the mob, or seperate.
Also figured the homeless guy would save them somehow. -
Hammerin'HankJust saw The Kingsman last night 2/10...........save your money........unless you like a lot of violence.

Gotcha. Fyi, there's no connection between the two other than the concept of the purge itself.HighRoller74;1705797 wrote:We wanted to watch that, but figured should watch first one before that. -

The original Meet the Parents has to be at leasta9. Maybe 9.5 very entertaining.friendfromlowry;1705715 wrote:Just out of curiosity, what would everyone give Meet the Parents? I'd go 9.5 probably.
