Amazon Drones

What is the premium cost to have a drone deliver vs. ordering overnight and having ups/fed ex/usps deliver the next day?
Would a drone deliver 24/7? If not 24/7 delivery, at the best you may save a few hours going with drone delivery.
It would have to take hours for Amazon to process an order and load a drone for delivery.

Large cities would need many drones to be quicker than a truck which holds hundreds of packages and can deliver them all within a few hours.

Unless the drones Amazon would use are helicopters where would a regular drone land?
    They are not exactly small...
Because all drones are in the form of an aircraft.... LOL

The answer to people shooting down the drones is to arm the drones to shoot back.

Picture from Amazon dumb ass. It flies.

Obviously said didn't watch the report on 60 min and see the drones.

Suspense killer- it's not a hovering aircraft.

    You are right.

The picture shows what looks like a helicopter. If it does not hover I'm curious how it lands.

This has got to be one of the dumbest ideas I've ever seen.

How can you call someone a dumbass after posting a military drone? Shut the fuck up.

As long as they aren't surveilling or killing people from the skies, I have no problems with drones. It will take a long ass time for these to be ready for prime time, though. I think the idea is pretty awesome.

Yes, I was making fun of you for posting a military aircraft since you apparently think that's what all drones look like. Keep on failing.

On 60 mins they said they expect to launch these things 3-5 years from now depending on how long it takes to get the FAA to approve it.

How does the package actually get onto my porch? Certainly it doesn't fly under my porch roof.

Boy you sure showed me. Yea, I posted a picture of the most common drones known. I'm sure in your mind when you first hear drone you think of helicopters.

I'll bet apartment buildings would confuse the shit out of it.

I know drones are unmanned vehicles that aren't limited to military aircrafts, so yes by using some logical thought (I suggest you work on this), I imagines the drones were somewhat like the ones amazon have developed.

Do you picture a flying saucer whenever "UFO" is mentioned? LOL
  • Tiernan
It looks like it could cook brats too and drop them off with the package.
  • Raw Dawgin' it
Did they mention how loud these things would be? A constant buzzing would be awful.

Probably. I hear "UFO" first thing that comes to mind is either a light or some shiny saucer shaped craft.

Curious what do you immediately picture when you hear UFO?
