Teeter Hang Ups

justincredibleThe television station we watch the most shows nothing but retro shows, so it likely skews to a much older demographic than we fall in. Given that we are bombarded by commercials for these things. At first I thought they looked ridiculous but the more I saw the commercial the better they looked to me. I looked them up on amazon and while they are pretty damn expensive the reviews are pretty damn good. I haven't looked into the actual science behind inversion so I'm wondering if this shit actually works? Given the number of reviews I'm guessing it has to be more than a placebo effect. Anyone have any input on these or inversion in general?

mcburg93I have wondered if these things work. I read a ton of good reviews about them but never pulled the trigger on one yet.

imex99I've had mine for a little over two years now and love it.
I had a horrible episode from my lower lumbar degenerative disease (narrowing of the discs) and could barely stand up straight. I could force my self to get on and lay down on my inversion table, I would get immediate relief.
I'm a 100% believer now and the more consistent I'm with using it with exercise and stretches, less back pain I live with. -

There's your answer. Like magic weight loss pill combined with diet and exercise. Inversion is a scam.imex99;1538538 wrote:I've had mine for a little over two years now and love it.

"Your heartbeat slows and your blood pressure increases when you remain inverted for more than a couple of minutes — and the pressure within your eyeballs jumps dramatically. For these reasons, you should not try inversion therapy if you have high blood pressure, heart disease or glaucoma." -
redstreak one^^^^ For more than a couple of minutes is the key. I use mine occasionally to just take the weight off of my spine. I only hang fully inverted for 30 seconds or so, allowing my lower back to unwind. I don't hang on it very long as it is uncomfortable, but I have had success with it.
