  I lived in the Midwest, east coast, south, and now west coast. When a waiter asks now, I just say coke or pepsi. that way no one is confused.

  Did you used to tell the waiter you just want a pop, and let him bring whatever he chose for you? You always have to be exact when ordering from a waiter!
