Amount spent per month on alcohol?

  • robj55
Not much, I rarely drink anymore if at all.

Easily spend over $500 a month on booze.

It's my highest expense outside of rent.

I live in an expensive city. Expensive to drink in Chicago. Last night I decided to buy a round of shots for a friends birthday. 4 shots of whiskey, it was $45. Bought 3 mixed drinks while I was there. So I spend almost 75 bucks just at the bar, on one night. Bought a bottle of vodka before I went out too, so 100 bucks for one night. And it's not like I was spending excessively or going crazy.

Yeah I wasn't judging you, I lived on the east coast a few years ago and it would be easy to drop 1-200 in a night.

You'd buy a shot for a friend that is enjoyed for seconds.....but you wouldn't pony up $12 for the huddle for a whole year!

Have you seen all they have to offer!?

I can spen over 100 easily in one night at the bar. I average one of those a month. Prolly somewhere in the 200 buck range. Golf and pool league make it higher in the summer.

    This. I'm an alcoholic.

Lately ... only about $20 at most.

At a high point, it was probably around $400-500.

That's Chicago for you. Any decent sized city, if you go to the better bars it's not tough to spend $60+ just on yourself for alcohol (not counting cover charges or late-night food). x2-3 nights a week.

Why you always do a "pre-game" in college, but once you have steady paychecks a warm-up isn't all that appealing nor as convenient as everyone just meeting out at the bar.

The credit card is a wonderful thing. You're able to tip more reasonably at the end of the night, and if you are a regular (often not even that) I always seem to get a few free drinks on the CC.

Throw in dinner for two once or twice a week on that bill and see what you come up with!!! Just glad we can afford to go out a couple of times a week for dinner and drinks.... Approx. $100.00/week (including dinners)......

If I include beer during trivia night at Don Panchos restaurant every Thursday, I spend about $20-30 per month.

Might jump to $50-60 if I stop by Caddy's to pick-up a 5th of Crown Royal to calm my nerves on big game weekend's. :RpS_razz:

A good bit. Summer's when I spend the most. Had a number of $100 weekends. Winter...still easily $100-150 a month.

For the record, I've spent $2,917 so far this year, and that is just trackable DC transactions.
