The only time I was leery was when after a previous levy failed, the district "found" and additional 1.3 million dollars that was misappropriated. I keep a close eye on this, as I too feel the success of public schools are what drives our property values. However, if transparency becomes an issue, then "prolly" voting for it creeps into my thought process.
Local school levy failed and they were threatening busing. It was eliminated for a very short time utnil everyone was pissed, and then they all of a sudden found funding on how the state would fun most of it. -
dlazzIMO, for every 1 educated/informed voter, there are three who are just going in there and picking random shit.
So no, I am not participating. -
se-alumI probably won't vote. I'm in an odd situation. I technically live in Vinton County, but I literally know nothing about anything going on in the county, so I don't feel it's right for me to just go randomly vote for people. I live on a quarter mile stretch of road that nobody realizes is actually in Vinton, so nobody who is running for a spot ventures out here. I know everything there is to know about the Ross County elections, but unfortunately can't vote there.

TedShecklerI yam. Straight party vote and no on all issues and levies.

Eh what's a a few failures gonna do? It's not like they need anymore than I had in high school and let me tell you it wasn't a whole lot. Having to pay $100 for each sport you played sucked, and basically every extra circular not band or choir or sports was cut. So fuck emvball10set;1529093 wrote:If it weren't a renewal, I prolly would too. However, TPS is making strides, so I'm going to give the new superintendent the benefit of the doubt and vote yes. -
I Wear PantsVoted, love my polling place still got a sticker and they had free donuts.

You must not understand how funding of public schools in Ohio works.Classyposter58;1529555 wrote:Eh what's a a few failures gonna do?
Prayers from New Albany. -
Fab4RunnerNot today, and I am kinda bummed about it. I moved in March and completely forgot to change my registration. I don't have time to venture out to my old polling place, and I know nothing about the current issues there anyway. I will be sure to update my info for next time.

Fair enough, not that you need my approval of your voting choices but that sounds like a pretty reasonable way to approach things.vball10set;1529241 wrote:
said_aouitanah. I don't feel like it.
Graham has like six people running for two or three spots. Don't know any of them except one who's a jagoff.
IDGAF -
thavoiceI did.
Pretty much a waste.
I tax levy for old people, two local offices with people running unopposed, and selecting up to 3 out of 6 people on the ballot for the school board. Ya would not have thought an election was going on in our town as I saw ZERO signs, which is cool I guess. -
thavoiceSpeaking of voting........do you get the sticker? I usually turn it down and they almost seem suprised and offended...like Cramer refusing to wear the aids ribbon!

Should be able to cast a provisional ballot in the precinct you currently reside.Fab4Runner;1529659 wrote:Not today, and I am kinda bummed about it. HereticHaven't yet. I guess other than that MR/DD levy, there's nothing whatsoever of interest on the local ballot and due to work fuck-ups, I've had to be busy so far.
If I decide I care enough to take a break, I will, but after a lot of tequila and beer last night, caring is in short supply in my world. -

Got a job in Newark after college and got an apartment in Heath! I'm from Washington Court House originally so I'm from a similar kinda area. Don't consider Neark/Heath to be a big city area loljustincredible;1529091 wrote:LOL, WTF are you doing in Heath? I grew up in the area and Newark/Heath was the "big city" near us.
I'll vote. We have mayoral and council elections. -
