Any watch aficionado on here?

  • Raw Dawgin' it
Anyone here into watches? If I had the money I'd have an entire closet full, but curious what people wear daily and if anyone here collects them. I recently purchased a Longines chrono, so curious what other posters wear, if you even wear one

I bought a simple Citizen Eco Drive aviator watch. I like it.

I had one of those. I got it as a high school graduation gift, but my dad borrowed it from me one day and I never got it back ha

Wouldn't say I'm an "aficionado", but I can appreciate a nice watch.

If I ever "hit it big"....I'm dead set on a Breitling

Love watches. I have several Invicta, Swiss Legend, Swiss Army, Bulova, Orient, and Seiko. Mostly automatics which I prefer.

I can appreciate a nice watch but I haven't worn one in 15+ years. I don't like wearing accessories or jewelry.

Cell phone technology has been around for some time now so I don't need a 3 pound piece of metal wrapped around my wrist to tell me the time.

20 years ago it might have been necessary but now watches are for gays and poor people. :RpS_w00t:

    GOAT watch

I collect WWII era Bulova watches. They are pretty cheap to buy (think $50-100 each) but are great mechanically. Resellers will list them online for $100-$1500, but they are very common at estate sales.

I really like automatics, but at the same time, i don't like how thick the case on them can be. I don't like when watches get too bulky. I think some of the Invictas get ridiculous with their case size and thickness.

That's pretty cool, what's great about some vintage watches are they look good and depending on the brand you can get a well made watch for a good price.
