ohiobucks1I am looking for one online where cashing out is easy and will take Visa or paypal... where do you guys bet?
-
IliketurtlesI use sportsbook.ag and they take Visa.
Cashing out isn't too bad you do have to provide some stuff (color copy of license/passport, check(for wire withdrawal), and a utility bill with the same address on it).
I've normally gotten my check from them in like 4 weeks but I did have a friend who it took 7 weeks to get his and I guess their site now says 6-8 weeks for withdraws. -

Dang, not sure I can give them all those. Is it one, or all 3? -

To just get a check you'll need the license/passport and a utility bill. Idk when they started making requiring a color copy of the license though... I had all my stuff set up 9 years ago lol.ohiobucks1;1525739 wrote:Dang, not sure I can give them all those. Is it one, or all 3? -
reclegend22I prefer Bovada. I always wire my money via Western Union, but they also accept Visa. Have had nothing but a good experience. They tend to add their betting lines on the day of for many sports, namely college basketball, so you don't always get the early lines that you want, but that's to be expected from most books in my experience.

Commander of AwesomeMy favorite sports book is "The Whore of Akron". Anyone from Cleveland should enjoy that book.

sportchamppsI use bovada

ohiobucks1I went with Bovada. Won 32$ on the LAL game betting that they would get to 38 before LAC got to 40 woot.
I saw Boston -1.5 tomorrow was paying +170...Seems like a winning play.
Any interested in starting a betting thread? -
Pick6I would be interested^^^ Itd be nice to share some lines we think are good and post experiences.
What would the benefit be, if any, of using one of these sites over the local bookie? -

Well I assume a local bookie would prefer a bigger bet in all instances..Sometimes I just like to bet for fun (<$20 bets).
Also, I dont know any local bookies lol -

Yeah, I only know of this guy through one of my friends. I actually dont even know him lol. Just have my friend make the bets for me. But I do all bets 100 or less, usually 20 or 40.ohiobucks1;1525832 wrote:Well I assume a local bookie would prefer a bigger bet in all instances..Sometimes I just like to bet for fun (<$20 bets).

I'd say the convenience factor. Also knowing that there will never be a scenario that ends in me getting my head beat in with a hammer ranks right up there. Lol.Pick6;1525824 wrote:I would be interested^^^ Itd be nice to share some lines we think are good and post experiences.

In all seriousness, I'm sure there are plenty of legit and respected bookies that are completely benign, but I don't know any and not sure I'd ever want to get involved with one even if I did. I'd rather deal with a company on the internet than a street tough is I guess what I'm saying. -

LOL. Great point. Like I said, I dont even make direct contact with the guy, and since its little bets to make the games more interesting I'm always going to pay. Hopefully that right there is enough to keep me from any negative situation.reclegend22;1525835 wrote:I'd say the convenience factor. reclegend22But yeah, I think it's the people who bet large amounts of money that they don't have up front, with the expectation that they are to pay up later, that end up buried in a woods. I think you're good.

gut
That was one of the best episodes of Seinfeld, where they reversed the roles between Jerry and the bookie who "didn't have his money yet".reclegend22;1525838 wrote:But yeah, I think it's the people who bet large amounts of money that they don't have up front, with the expectation that they are to pay up later, that end up buried in a woods. dlazzI use bovada.
I've never cashed out because I always end up making a careless bet and losing everything I've earned.
I had turned $20 into about $110 and lost it on two bets: NE straight up over the Jets (NE lost in OT), and I bet Houston to win over BYU (lost 46-47 with less than 1:30 left)
Needless to say I was disappointed. -
hasbeenI'm a first timer over here, but how small of a bet can I make?
-
ohiobucks1at bovada I think as little as $1 (maybe even less)
-

Haha, yeah. When I was writing my post above about dealing with street toughs, I also envisioned Seinfeld.gut;1525844 wrote:That was one of the best episodes of Seinfeld, where they reversed the roles between Jerry and the bookie who "didn't have his money yet".

On sportsbook if you do a parlay its $1 if its just a beting a spread or SU then its at least 5 bucks.hasbeen;1525920 wrote:I'm a first timer over here, but how small of a bet can I make?
dlazz I know how you feel. I've had a few really good weeks and tried to get cute as well. I lost 300 bucks on that Pats game... then lost 250 bucks on seattle to cover on monday night.
I also just need to quit doing stupid 5 dollar 7 point teasers on like 6-10 teams lol. And fuck 10 point 3 team teasers. Every week I do one for 50 bucks... I'm currently 3-5 on them for NFL. Weeks 6 and 7 were rough. Lost both because week 6 had jags at +17.5 in one they lost by 18... then week 7 had titans at +17 and they lost by 17.
If someone did a betting thread I'm sure it would get a lot of interest. I've thought about doing one a few weeks but always forget haha. -
reclegend22I know Laley is against it, but I love teasers, especially the 10-point variety when it comes to college basketball. I've had moderate success with them, but my absolute most brutal loss using this strategy in my betting career came last season when I had a 5-game teaser (or something like that). Won every game except for Michigan at Penn State. I had Michigan at +5 after the teaser and they blow an 18-point lead late and lose by 7. I wanted to tear my spleen out.
So, while they are attractive, teasers can be maddening. -
RotinajCeltics are going to get smashed tonight. Sorry about your money.

dlazzI got screwed on a big parlay a few weeks ago, too. I threw $5 down on a 6 team parlay. I bet Alabama wouldn't cover the spread against Kentucky because they had an "alright" QB in a spread system. He got hurt on the first or second drive. I was pretty annoyed.
