I used to be very active in many sports until I tore my Achilles playing basketball at the age of 40.

    Still active.

My organized sporting career ended b/c I didn't want to play for a shitty football team (Urbana), and chose cheaper schooling and good times instead (BGSU).

I'm still doing well for myself in the Professional Partying League. I'm the motherfuckin' Peyton Manning of that shit.

As far as actual competition sports, pretty much high school and college was the end of most of that. I still work out and exercise regularly, but that's all for health benefits, appearance, etc. No real desire to hit the courts to pick up a basketball game or anything like that.

Unless you count things like darts, pool, euchre, cornhole, etc., as I do play those things from time to time with friends.

I was never athletic and I hate sports. Sports can go fuck itself.

I still play basketball competitively. Baseball ended after high school, and running is now only the occasional road race. Maybe a marathon someday while I'm still young enough for a decent time.

Stopped playing basketball in leagues at 33 when it was evident I couldn't keep up with the younger players and was really a liability to the team.

I might join an over 40 league in a few years or so, but I pretty much suck at basketball now. I can still play softball but there are no leagues around. So it pretty much 5-20K running events. Never been a big cyclist or swimmer.

I played flag football till around 27. Started to get a little rough so just gave it up. Played fast pitch softball til I was 25. Played slow pitch till I was 33 when I tore my acl the second time. I will go out and throw the ball around with my nephews once in awhile but I dont have much left in me. I need my knee replaced and both shoulders fixed.

College was the end of serious training. Occasionally I'll "train" for a few months and do a half marathon.

Softball - still play great way to have fun
Kickball - played some adult kickball while I lived in Kansas and loved it quit when I moved back because I can't find enough people interested in joining a team

LOL at fishing being a "sport." Also please tell us you're kidding about coaching.

I sucked so bad at wrestling in high school my "career" never really began. Hasbeen would have teched or pinned me in the first minute. Easily!!! Yeah... THAT bad.

Since colleges weren't banging down the door for 4x sectional qualifier, I left for the Army.
  • adog
1 yr college baseball (when I realized my fastball sucked)
    Basketball sophomore year
    Cross Country....after 1st practice

Lol this is getting watered down.

High school baseball ended at VA Stadium in Chillicothe in the district semis losing to Washington CH.

College baseball ended when Wilmington coach had me throw glorified BP for 2 hours in late Oct of my freshman year. (A special thanks to the first African American to pitch for the Reds Brooks Lawrence)

High School golf ended at districts in Beverly Ohio....fell just short of making state.

College golf was same season as baseball and I liked baseball more....once blowing out my arm and transferring Rio Grande didn't have a golf team.

Basketball.....ended after a scrimmage at Portsmouth Clay my sophomore year on JV....2 sports was enough

Football....ended after 6th grade. Would've been a receiver and football team just never passed, much better at golf/same season

    Still pretty big into coaching
