Vegas Deals

ZWICK 4 PREZWhat's the best deal you've gotten in Vegas. Was it from a website or an e-mail the casino sent you?
I'm going to book a trip out there in February and haven't seen many good deals yet. -
GOONx19Two years ago I went with 11 classmates and we flew round trip with 6 nights at the Flamingo for $300 each through Allegiant Air. I don't remember many deals when we were actually there except that some taxi driver got us into whichever clubs we wanted at night without a cover. We did do some restaurant deal that cut our meal at a Brazilian steakhouse in half, but that was through the ticket booth at the Bellagio.
-
Manhattan BuckeyeIt has been a few years but in 2010 I got a ridiculous deal on Vegas via travelocity. Airfare from DC to Atlanta to LV and back + 3 nights at the Bellagio for under $400 to attend a friend's bachelor party. The Vegas economy has been hit hard so perhaps that isn't doable now, but keep checking the popular travel sites.

We got comped all 3 nights at the Spearmint Rhino (and that was back in the day when anything goes) - granted we spent over $1,000 for bottle service each night - but for 10 people or so it was still a cheap night.GOONx19;1523667 wrote:Two years ago I went with 11 classmates and we flew round trip with 6 nights at the Flamingo for $300 each through Allegiant Air. Shit.. getting 3 nights in the bellagio for under 400 would be a deal, let alone with a flight. -

Not when I lost $500 on the Vikings/Cowboys divisional game...I only bet $100 on the Jets that weekend. Very poor move. I'm not a big casino gambler so I spent most of the time at the Sports Book (and losing).ZWICK 4 PREZ;1523670 wrote:Shit.. getting 3 nights in the bellagio for under 400 would be a deal, let alone with a flight. -
like_thatI remember back in 2010, my friends and I for SB we got a hell of a deal. It was $290 for round trip flight, and 4 nights at MGM. Most of the deals we found though were under 400 bucks, all good hotels. We researched all travel sites, and all the prices were pretty much the same. I know that was awhile ago, but typically the cost to get there is relatively cheap. They want you there, so you can blow away your money.

Laley23If you ever pay for a club cover, you are doing it wrong. Taxis, concierge, etc can get you into all of them for free. The clubs will usually have a limo or bus or something to pick up a group of people for free and you wont pay cover.
Go at the right time, you can get a flight and room for really cheap, at the nicest of the Casinos. Went to a bachelor party and got the penthouse suite at Bellagio. 3 Nights for 500$. -
Laley23As like_that said, if you cant get to Vegas and stay in Vegas for REALLY cheap, you didnt search hard enough. Hotels will pretty much pay for your flight out there, because they want you gambling in their Casino.
Vegas.com usually has good deals listed. -
Manhattan Buckeye"Went to a bachelor party and got the penthouse suite at Bellagio. 3 Nights for 500$."
But how much did you spend at the casino/restaurants? My guess is that I dropped almost a grand at the hotel aside from room/flight costs. And another $500 at the Rhino. -
reclegend22Speaking of Brazilian steakhouses, Fogo de Chao is my favorite in Vegas. They serve you 16 different kinds of roasted meats cut at your table and you can eat as much as you want. Also, for anyone who loves Chinese food, Wing Lei at the Wynn is outstanding. Best I've ever had.
I've used the Vegas.com site that Laley linked above and gotten some pretty good deals. Was out there in April and stayed in Sky Room Suite at Mandalay Bay for like $500 for three nights. Not quite as good a deal as Laley at Bellagio, but split between two people that's a good value. -

Well it was downtime for sports, so nothing at the Sports Book (did future bets, and I actually won college football since I put 50$ on Alabama at 4/1). Didnt gamble at all...I honestly dont know why you would waste time gambling if you are there for a bachelor party.Manhattan Buckeye;1523796 wrote:

We didnt make it to the Rhino, we got into Marquee for free and had 40 drink tickets for 3 of us (so free drinks) and picked up 6 girls. Decided that was the better option to a strip club lol.
We did go to Gallaghers Steakhouse in NY, NY and spent $500 on a meal, but that was planned and budgeted for. Went to In-N-Out and the Buffet (free) the rest of the meals. Easily couldve not done that and spent way less for dinner.
If you take the time to make the right phone calls/emails and search the web, you can go to Vegas and spend almost nothing for your entertainment value... -

This is a good point. I probably dropped $500 playing blackjack and another $300 to $400 eating. I also like shopping at The Forum Shoppes in Caesar's and spent plenty doing that as well.Manhattan Buckeye;1523796 wrote:"Went to a bachelor party and got the penthouse suite at Bellagio. 3 Nights for 500$."

reclegend22Also note that, when staying further away from the central part of the Strip at a place like Mandalay, you're gonna pay a lot of money on taxis. So, basically, I paid about $2,000 for my trip and got a terrible deal. Haha.

Keep in mind, I went in July, which is the ABSOLUTE dead time in Vegas. So I got a better deal on the room than most, but everything else Is aid you can get year round.reclegend22;1523804 wrote:Speaking of Brazilian steakhouses, Fogo de Chao is my favorite in Vegas. The reason I dont like Fogo, is it is a "pseudo" chain. They have them in lots of places in the US, and while good, I prefer to go to places that are 1 of a kind, or at the most, have a couple of restaurants in the US so that the main chef/owner can frequent all 3 or 4 of the locations. -

I didn't do much, just a few Pai gow poker games and some blackjack switch. Some of the guys did a lot. One bought into a Texas Hold'em tournament - this guys is the best poker player I know and is very, very smart (Harvard business grad) - dude got bounced in the first round.
You aren't beating the Big in Vegas. -

I get what you are saying. I just really like their food there and the service is really great. But yeah, like you, whenever I go somewhere on vacation, I typically try to seek out restaurants unique to that location. The "Lighthouse" in Aruba, for example.Laley23;1523810 wrote:Keep in mind, I went in July, which is the ABSOLUTE dead time in Vegas. se-alumI went last December w/ my brother and a friend. We got 4 nights at MGM plus flight for $480/each. We went through a travel agent friend of ours.

ZWICK 4 PREZI got 4 nights at MGM with a direct flight and 2 buffet passes each day for 950 for my wife and I.

Yeah, you pretty much hit the bottom of their most desperate times. It's only rebounded slightly, but it's now very stable.Manhattan Buckeye;1523668 wrote:It has been a few years but in 2010 I got a ridiculous deal on Vegas via travelocity. Although I have no idea what CityCenter and a few other properties opening have done to prices. It's going to take a long time for natural growth to absorb all the capacity they've added in recent years for room rates to spike back to $400+ a night (weekends at the top properties).
If you can tolerate the heat, you can get great deals during the summer, especially if you do a whole week -
reclegend22The CityCenter area, particularly Aria, is really nice. Had friends that stayed at Aria when we were out there in April, which made me realize why I'll never stay at Mandalay again; just too far removed from everything. Wanted to stay there, but could not find any good deals at Aria or Mandarin Oriental in that complex. In many cases, they were more expensive than even The Venetian or Bellagio.
-
gutHave not been to the Cosmopolitan but I hear it's nice as well. But if you're going during pool season....well not sure which pool is best - obviously Tao Beach at Palazzo and the Hard Rock pool are great...probably can't go wrong with Wynn or Encore, either
-
Laley23^^^or flamingo!
-
reclegend22To add to your pool list, oddly, for one of the more affordable hotels, The Flamingo has one of the better pool atmospheres on the strip. Stayed there the first time I ever went out to Vegas when I was in high school, and even though I haven't stayed there since, almost every time I go out to Vegas we make our way down there to swim. One of my personal favorites is the saltwater pool at MGM Grand.
