No wonder your daughter sprained her ankle. You made her soft.

I turned it on briefly, just to cut the chill out of the air, when I woke up this morning.

    That sucks.

Figuring I might as well get drunk before the races by the river next Saturday.

Got kids, so have it on. But only set to 66 to take the edge off.

I dont have a furnace, I have electric heat, therefore I burn wood. Fuck electric heat....and fuck furnaces. BTW, I started the 1st fire of fall today.

    Hope this helps

Not yet... I did have a fire in the family room fireplace last night and fell asleep on the couch..

He'll no and we only keep it on 63 when we do. My wife and I both like it to be cold when we sleep. We have had a window fan in our bedroom window until last night.

Not yet, although it has been a bit tempting.

We don't hesitate. If someone in the house is cold, we turn the furnace on. It's our home. If we can't make it comfortable there then what the heck do we work so hard for?

My wife makes me split the wood, stack it, bring it in, build the fire, stoke the fire, make sure she has blankets on, and then make sure the fire's put out before I'm allowed to go to bed.

    I see.

My parents have not had theirs on yet. I believe my roommates turned ours on last night, but I really have no idea.

I hope my life isn't this shitty when I am in my 40's.
  • I Wear Pants
We've had ours on and off a little bit. Not for very long usually.

Ours hasn't been turned on yet. But I did turn on the electric heater in my office today while working. My office is always 5-10 degrees colder than the rest of the house. So early this morning it was still chilly even with the hoodie and sweatpants.

I had the heater in my office on for four hours today. It's in an actual building, and not my home, but it was also freezing this morning.
