    Pimples you do know this is Chicago and the so call strictest weapon laws are applied. So inform the OC how this can happen.

    Chicago is the new murder capital of the US. First time in awhile it hasn't been New York. It also has the strictest gun control law in the country so obviously if you make guns illegal to own criminals won't still get them you know because criminals respect the law.

    It's why go opposite, give everyone, including the 3 year old who got shot, a gun. This way there will be less crime and death.

    Maybe giving everyone a gun is the answer, population control.

    This isn't accurate. Murder rates are established on a per capita basis - not on a simple total. The rate of homicide in Chicago isn't even close to the highest of large cities. I think New Orleans or Detroit has a much, much higher murder rate than Chicago. As far as New York - I'm not sure it ever had the highest homicide rate. On top of that, the murder rate there has fallen dramatically since 1990 to a lever that is lower than all other large cities in the country. If it ever was the murder capital, it hasn't been for at least 20 years.

    So tired of this derp. You have a constitutional right to travel across state lines in the United States unimpeded. You can't have a border patrol in Chicago inspecting for guns coming in from Canada like you can in Japan. Go see when the last time the Japanese...with the strictest gun control laws in the world have had a drive by where 13 people were gunned down.

    State and local gun regulation...no matter how strict is stupid and completely worthless and ineffectual in a country where you can freely travel across state and local boundaries unimpeded.

    Boatshoes so your saying a criminal can find a way around the gun laws and is doing it illegally. Remember when marijuana was completely illegal in the US. It was just so hard to find weed in the USA before medical marijuana. You could ban all the guns and take them away from everyone in the US but if someone really wants one they will easily get one. Cocaine is illegal everywhere but can still be bought in just about any city in the United States.
