RotinajIll donate $3.50.

reclegend22LA to NY in 21 minutes?
Would be cool to have a high-speed train in the States with thirty times the chance of death. -
TiernanSo my flying car is put on hold again?

Dude works on a ton of exciting stuff.Automatik;1486877 wrote:Elon Musk is boss. -
gutLOL, California's bullet train is such a spectacular failure...$80B for an average speed barely double normal trains?
-
I Wear Pants
Would still probably be a net economic benefit in the long run though.gut;1486924 wrote:LOL, California's bullet train is such a spectacular failure...$80B for an average speed barely double normal trains? -
Raw Dawgin' itAnyone else notice the 40 mile turning radius? lol

That would be the centrifical force factor, speed, gravity, turning ratio, cabin pressure, material stress .....Raw Dawgin' it;1486940 wrote:Anyone else notice the 40 mile turning radius? lol
I would think it would have been greater... -

lol 40 mile minimum. Wonder how many people would pass out from gforce if they fuck that up .Belly35;1486946 wrote:That would be the centrifical force factor, speed, gravity, turning ratio, cabin pressure, material stress .....

Yeah it's not like you can turn on a dime at that speed.Belly35;1486946 wrote:That would be the centrifical force factor, speed, gravity, turning ratio, cabin pressure, material stress .....

It would take like 10 seconds to make the turnRaw Dawgin' it;1486940 wrote:Anyone else notice the 40 mile turning radius? lol -

Passing out would be the least of the problem ... those with weak blatter and intestine ...shitting their pants and pissing... Clean up in Car Loop 2 Please...Raw Dawgin' it;1486950 wrote:lol 40 mile minimum. Wonder how many people would pass out from gforce if they fuck that up . -

I wasn't concerned with the added time, more of a "holy shit" factor. My commute to work is 45 miles each way, i can't imagine a train making that as one turn in 10 seconds. Fucking crazy.Pick6;1486990 wrote:It would take like 10 seconds to make the turn
lol someone has to test the system to find this out.Belly35;1486996 wrote:Passing out would be the least of the problem ... those with weak blatter and intestine ...shitting their pants and pissing... Clean up in Car Loop 2 Please... -
gutI'm wondering if this is anything like theoretical smartphone 4G speeds...in which case, the actual real world speed of this train would be more like 140 mph, not 14000 mph.

queencitybuckeyeIf it's truely feasible, there's no reason it need be public transportation. Make it happen, Mr. Musk.

said_aouitaI'd feel safer on a train that's going really fast than flying at any speed on a plane.

Aren't planes still the safest form of transportation statistically?said_aouita;1487019 wrote:I'd feel safer on a train that's going really fast than flying at any speed on a plane. -

As for it being safe, the info graphic claims it would be the safest form of transportation. Basically impossible to crash. -
Heretic
Sitting next to one of those types would probably make a person NEVER want to do that again.Belly35;1486996 wrote:Passing out would be the least of the problem ... those with weak blatter and intestine ...shitting their pants and pissing... Clean up in Car Loop 2 Please... -

I don't buy that at 14,000 mph. Seems like a lot could wrong.Pick6;1487036 wrote:Yes

Classyposter58Bahaha I'm not too enthusiastic about something that goes 14,000 mph that isn't in the air or space

Pick6Its my understanding that the top speed of the hyperloop is suggested to be 4000mph. The 14000mph is of a project suggested in the 70s. Though im not sure how much of a difference it makes, because 4000mph is still pretty fucking fast.
