Belly35Last from me, was that the deer was eating the tops of my tomatoes … I didn’t think that deer would eat tomato plants, it does happen do but it’s rare. It was Ground hogs.. Few evening ago I saw one stand on its hind legs and eat the top of my neighbor tomato plants. I had my CO2 pistol with me for shooting crows, fired a few shot I was to far away. Neighbor and I will be Sulfur bombing their holes tonight. Love the smell of Sulfur in the morning, smells like victory
The Zucchini, Butternut, Acorn and Spaghetti are going crazy having a great crop. Lots to keep in storage this winter. Tomatoes (5 different types) are all coming around with no sign of bugs or blight, that Dawn soap is doing its job. Green beans, Cucumbers, Radish, Green Onions, Lettuces, Cauliflower and Beets are in and we have plenty to eat and canning. </SPAN>
Failure was the Broccoli and Brussel Sprouts, Ground hog got them. Next year will be different area of planting them. </SPAN>

mcburg93Best garden I have had in years. Have pickled about 15 qts of pepper and 8qts of pickles. Put some corn in the freezer and canned some green beens. Have seven stringers of peppers drying to make my own chili powder. Hung two big braids of garlic in the basement. Dried a bunch of herbs. Everything else is doing well. We put up a bunch of tomatoes last year so dont have to do any canning this year. Although I might can some salsa and sale it. Have way to many peppers and onions. Will start my kraut next week. I did try to pickle some corn. I am curious to how its going to turn out. Only did a few qts hoping it turns out. Been picking black berries and black raspberries the last few days and put them all in the freezer. Still getting strawberries which I thought was weird. I dont ever remember picking them this late in the season.
