Dr Winston O'Boogie
I'm trying to live my life by three simple rules:
1. I never underestimate my opponent; in other words, I expect the unexpected
2. I take it outside; in other words I never start anything in the bar
3. I am nice
And while these rules have helped my through virtually all of life's obstacles, there are still come questions I have on this great film that I could use some help with:
- Dalton carried his medical records with him since it saved time. The first time Doc glanced through them, she saw he went to NYU and majored in philosophy. Do medical records usually contain school and major information? What about checking account balances?
- Frank Tilman said he wanted Dalton even though he acknowledged that Wade Garret was the best because he believed Wade Garret was "getting old". Presently, Dalton in the form of Patrick Swayze is dead and Wade Garret in the form of Sam Elliott is alive. How'd Tilman get it so wrong?
- When Wesley comes into the Double Deuce after the fire has burned Red Webster's auto parts shop, he accuses Red of being a "no good, draft dodger...". Earlier in the film, we also find that Wesley served during Korea. Perhaps then was Wesley somehow misunderstood? Was he really a patriot who was trying to clear the town of cowards and he just happened to take things a little far?
- Why did the blind musician Cody shake Dalton's hand and say, "Damn good to see you"?
- Why did the polar bear have to fall on Tinker? WHY? And what may have happened had it not?
