I called it, I knew he'd go out like that. Great way to end the series!

My only problem with the ending, Vic Mackey killed Jax Teller ha. I thought the finale was great and didn't really leave anything open. I didn't expect him to erase himself from his kids lives by burning everything, but i liked how in the car Able had the ring. One last piece of foreshadowing? Gemma wins in the end? ha

I thought they might do one of those montages at the end that shows sometimes do, to show what life was like for the characters after Jax died. I don't think the Shield did, but that show had one of the best finales i've ever seen.

I thought most of the episode was very well done. Jax saying goodbye to Nero, Wendy and his boys was a really great, really emotional scene.

The very end was corny at times, but I totally get it. He had to go out like his dad. To me, there was never a chance he was going to make it out alive.

I definitely think that ring meant that Gemma won. She had a plan and it won out. I'm glad that he burnt everything and that the kids wouldn't go down that life path.

So I take it the homeless woman ended up being the reaper? Telling Jax it's almost time. Giving him the blanket to take out Marks. She was always around when there was a death. Then they show her leaving bread and wine after Marks getting killed, then they show the crows eating the bread as Jax's blood started to flow to it? Or am I overthinking shit? Lol Quite the religious feel as well in this episode. The bread and wine and Jax doing the crucifix pose at the end.

Probably not overthinking it. I know in reading alot of the show in the last few weeks much of the small, simple stuff has some sort of meaning.

I called it a couple weeks ago when Jax found out his dad killed himself that he may off himself.

Fantastic endings. One of the very few series finale's thatdidnt suck. Thought it was the perfect ending.

I about shit though......at 11:15, right after the vote, they went to commercial and the first thing was "stay tuned for the afterword" and I was like....Fuck, that cannot be the end!

Kudos to Sutter and the boys. Great, great series.

    The afterword sucked tho!

Not sure how the hell I missed this?? I remember that episode, just didn't put 2 and 2 together. The homeless woman is in fact dead.

"Emily Putner*appears several times in Sons of Anarchy. Always when*Gemma*orJax*are going through an emotional decision making process.

In the episode 'John 8:32' it was stated that she is Emily Putner, the mother ofBrooke Putner. Emily was accidentally killed as a result of*John Teller's collision with a semi-truck and trailer in 1993.

In the same episode, when Jax goes to talk to Gary Putner about his daughter's aggressive behavior, he sees a wedding photo of Emily with Gary. When Gary asks Jax why he's curious about it, he states that "She looks familiar". Gary then says that he has also often seen her. He also tells Jax that he has had other people come to him saying that they have seen her too."

I took it as maybe she didn't actually die, since they said she had severe mental issues. I wish Kurt would've answered it when he was asked during the Afterword.

She had died. Read alot about it today in diff articles.

Most people seemed pretty cool with the ending. SOme thought it was bad for him to kill himself like that, but did what his dad did.

It was no St Elsewhere ending but decent....7 out of 10.

now bring on Justified...the best FX show ever

Love Justified, but no way in hell is it better than SoA. It started out good, but it was pretty stale for seasons 3 and 4. It picked back up again in season 5 though.

I feel like a lot shows get stale. I thought that SoA kind of was during the entire cartel/cia plot. I still think season 2 was the best season they ever did.
  • bigdaddy2003
I love Justified. It falls in my top 5 shows of all time but behind SoA.
  • Tiernan
I have to place The Shield (just because it was ground breaking at the time) and Justified slightly ahead of SOA. While Breaking Bad got a lot of pub and I thought it was great story telling...the first 3 mentioned captured my weekly attention more.
  • Raw Dawgin' it
The Wire, Breaking Bad, and The Shield are my top 3.

The Wire (only on season 3) and Breaking Bad are my top two. It's hard to pick a favorite between the two. SoA would be #3 but House of Cards will probably end up #3 eventually. Haven't watched The Shield or Justified.

I thought the way they wrapped up the story was perfect, I really can't think of a more satisfying way it could have ended.

That said, the last scene was corny as hell. It didn't really take away from the story, though.
  • thavoice
Yea, thatlast scene didnt look that great for SoA.

The Shield was great. Dont recall the finale a whole other than Mackey working at a desk, his own personal hell. It was silent forthe last couple of minutes of him sitting htere. I thought he was gonna off himself.

LIked the song they picked for the Soa Box set commericals. Ever been to Heinz Field you will realize that significance of that song to the steelers.
  • Laley23
The way it ended was great, the way it was shot was terrible.

To much CGI with the crows and everything. Just, as others have said, corny. But the it itself, was great.
  • Tiernan
Just read where the final song "Join the Murder" was actually written by Sutter...the guy is teetering on genius. That song is badass, but most dipshits won't get it.
