Crushed foot!!

  • vdubb96
We have a small Kroger store back behind our shop and a guy was unloading food off the semi, well his pallet jack full of food slipped off the lift and fell on the guy, crushed his foot. You could hear a guy screaming like crazy. Everyone ran over and his entire foot was smashed against the concrete, like a pancake. I should have taken a pic!!!!! He's not gonna have a very good 4th!!!!

    ...Didn't happen, no pic!

I know I know. I'm guessing he's gonna be rocking the peg leg after today!

    Sounds painful.

That'll be a nice workers comp settlement.

Not sure it's worth losing a foot over though.

Steel toe boots should be mandatory for anyone doing anything where heavy lifting and "crushed between" incidents are possible. I don't leave home without mine...always in my trunk.

He had steel toed boots on. The steel on his boots = flat on concrete. His foot literally was smashed flat.

A guy I know had an eye-bolt snap on a 1 ton concrete block that fell on his foot a few years ago. Not only crushed it but split it longways in multiple places. He still has his foot, but he can barely walk.

Yeah I'm guessing this guy isn't walking for awhile. He was from Tennessee also. His semi and dog are still sitting behind our shop.

I believe that Kroger is in St. Mary's Ohio, alongside the picturesque lake of Grand Lake St Mary's, the largest man made lake in ohio. The lake is 13,500 acres and used to be a great crappie fishing lake.

    but i digress.....

Everything you stated would be correct. Although I'm not in St. Marys. I work in Van Wert and there is a Ruler Foods behind us that is supplied by Kroger. It basically seems to be where all the trailer park and ghetto people shop. I'm sure Justin shops there.

Guy just showed up at the shop to thank everyone for helping him. He broke all his toes and severly bruised his foot!!! He had a walking boot on. Tough SOB is gonna take off and head back to Tennessee. He must be taking a few swills of the ol' Moonshine to make it!

Ahh I see. When you said 10 minutes from the lake and kroger i assumed the one in st marys.

There is a Ruler Foods in Celina as well that seems to get alot of business. Def enough trailer parks in Celina to keep it in business.

Steel toe boots probably would have cut a toe or two off.
