HGTV

Anyone a fan of their content? I like "Love it or List it" and "Property Brothers", among others. It's cool to see houses in other areas and what they sell for, and also how much people can get out of an investment. Only downside: I still live in an apartment, and it makes me want a house to renovate ha.

My girlfriend loves to watch those home shows, I don't mind them but I definitely don't go out of my way to watch them.

Should I turn in my man card? lol.

I actually DVR a few of them. Some of the stuff these home designers can do is unreal, and somewhat affordable.

I do have a friend who watches that shit too... but he also has two little yappy dogs that can fit in a purse. You decide.

Also, in case you missed it, if you decide to do some outdoor work such as building a garden box, don't forget to miter your joints!

You now measure dogs in terms of purses. Hmm interesting measuring technique....

I will watch Love It or List It and All the Crashers shows (Kitchen, Yard, Bathroom, House), Disaster DIY, and Holmes Inspection
  • LJ
I watch more DIY network. Renovation Realities, Rescue my Renovation, Holmes on Homes, Holmes Inspection, Family Under Construction. All great shows.

I watched it a lot when we had directv.

Love it or list it is unwatchable in my opinion. I wanted to shoot the woman in the face. I like disaster DIY.

Also - is it me or are the majority of these filmed in canada?

A lot of them were in Canada. Not sure if it was the majority or not, but probably close.

If you watch the credits it lists the subsidies that they get from the Canadian gov't.

Makes sense. If I had to guess by the shots of the locations and the prices of some of the homes, I would say San Francisco is also a popular location. Some of those prices are unreal.

I am a fan of numerous shows on HGTV. You can also add Food Network and TLC.

Also, House Hunters is 100% fake. The buyers are already in contract on the house that they end up choosing when filiming begins, or sometimes they even close before filming. All 3 houses are toured in 1-2 days, some may not even be on the market.

I am a big fan of all the Crasher shows

My old roommate (and the stepbrother of my stepbrother, lol) was on House Hunters International, and that is precisely what happened. Still an interesting show, though. I like seeing the different choices and discussing which one I would pick and why.

Guilty. If nothing else is on, I can usually stomach whatever is on this show. Flip or flop has a pretty good lookin chick in it that I just saw last night. But I'll watch yard crashes, prop bros, income property, house hunters, n my gf likes the new hgtv design star. I do feel like it will help once I buy a house, to at least be prepared with what goes with it.

We watch almost all the shows. I enjoy house hunters the most but like property brothers as well.

Dude, where's your Spoiler Tag. Now I'll never be able to watch the show again...(Kiddin) They do have some neat shows though that tend to suck me in.
