How do you plea? Not Guilty .. get serious mofo

Belly35I’m sick of this legal circle jerk by lawyers… Its time this shit stops and lawyers, their clients have to own up to their crimes and stop wasting tax payer money, legal time, judge’s obligation of half ass legal strategy.
Ariel Castro Plea Not Guilty WTF he and his lawyer should be punish for such a statement. How many time does this situation play out in the legal system .. smoking gun in hand and the plea is NOT Guilty your Honor. If I was a Judge I would fine the lawyer ASAP until a reasonable Plea was made …
Solution: Plea Not Guilty ( when it is obvious) and then found guilty sentencing is tripled and if that reach a total of 100 year … it flip automatically to the death penalty to be affect within 30 day.
The lawyer that suggests his client (obvious of the action) Pleas Not Guilty if loses pays the court cost and half the other lawyer fees or loses his licenses for six months.
This is a perfect example of why the law is not respected … Half Ass Lawyers and Half Ass Legal Methods that does nothing but waste more time, money and effort on those who are worthless …
Once a coward always a coward to take responsibility of their action… -
queencitybuckeyeStupid constitution.

He cannot agree to a plea deal that does not include the death penalty if he pleads guilty.Belly35;1456772 wrote:I’m sick of this legal circle jerk by lawyers… Its time this **** stops and lawyers, their clients have to own up to their crimes and stop wasting tax payer money, legal time, judge’s obligation of half ass legal strategy.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? So you don't want your rights taken away (guns), but it's OK to take someone else's away, as long as it doesn't affect you? -
Heretic
Generally, when people at least on this site start ranting about the Constitution and stuff like that, they only care about specific parts that concern them. Ie: Belly and the second amendment. Other parts are meaningless and should be erased.GoChiefs;1456820 wrote:What happened to innocent until proven guilty? He's even calling for the lawyer to be punished for it! That's why it is so hard to take any of them serious.Heretic;1456828 wrote:Generally, when people at least on this site start ranting about the Constitution and stuff like that, they only care about specific parts that concern them. What has the lawyer done wrong beside what he is constitutionally supposed to do?Belly35;1456772 wrote:

So what the hell exactly is the point in having a trial in the 1st place? I hope it is never you that gets to decide if a plea is reasonable.Belly35;1456772 wrote: How many time does this situation play out in the legal system .. smoking gun in hand and the plea is NOT Guilty your Honor. I wish that you would have finished high school, because if you did they had a compulsory class called government.Belly35;1456772 wrote: Solution: Plea Not Guilty ( when it is obvious) and then found guilty sentencing is tripled and if that reach a total of 100 year … it flip automatically to the death penalty to be affect within 30 day.
The defendant has a right to an attorney, and a right not to incriminate himself. It is the burden of the state to prove the charges brought against them.
The arraignment is a formality. If the accused says nothing, the plea of not guilty is pre supposed and entered for him.
Why would you think that anyone charged with anything get triple the sentence if they plea not, and are found guilty? Isn't this what the system is supposed to do? -
gutYeah, given an often rather large range of sentencing options there's no reason to throw in the towel with a guilty plea. Like it or not, plea negotiations are a huge part of our legal system (I think like 90% of cases never go to jury verdict).

First I have not commited any crimes nor have I broken any laws to be a felone. It must be proven that "he took the rights of those girls away" first. You are an American citizen, he is an American citizen. He has the same rights in the courtroom that you do. Unbelievable that a veteran of our military wants to take someone's else's rights away. He is entitled to the exact same judicial system that you are. You are being quite the hypocrite. You always bitch about your guns, butnow that it doesn't have anything to dowith you, you say fuck his rights as an American. Smh. -

Ariel Castro is probably a heck of a nice guy and just misunderstood.
I dunno. -
Pick6You have to be pretty morally fucked up to want to represent him.

Fly4Fun
In various state (if not all) ethical codes for lawyers there is language that basically amounts to say that while they aren't ever required to take on a particular client, lawyers should participate in a way to assure legal representation is available to anyone who wants it, even those who are generally unappealing to individuals and community.Pick6;1456942 wrote:You have to be pretty morally fucked up to want to represent him.
This just builds on the principal that our legal system is an adversarial process and for it to work properly each side deserves competent representation. -

But thats not really my point. Yeah, its probably a smart financial move to take it on, but at what point do you put morals over money? Not sure why I'm even asking this question, we are talking about lawyers here lol. -

And it's good publicity regardless...gives you "cred".
Most lawyers would tell you that the prosecutors/judges/other attorneys are all good friends. They all hang out with one another. They aren't really enemies except in the courtroom. -
