You're a teacher, you cant afford to go to Chicago, especially nice places in Chicago.

I'm going to Arlington hts for work next month. How long is the commute out there from downtown. I'd rather stay downtown if possible.

You will hate Chicago. It's air conditioned.

Sorry, I can't stand deep dish. If I didn't eat pizza, I would've gone to a real restaurant. What they call pizza is not pizza.

You are like a block from the magnificent mile. I'm sure their will be something fun easily found even for somebody who grew up in the town of awesomeness AKA: Covington.

Real pizza is from Italy...and they do not need a fork. Chicago deep dish is stupid.

I'm assuming you will be driving your car?
First that a $40.00 price tag per night in a parkig garage or you can try and find a spot on the street and have your bumpers scrapped or without proper parking permittes get your car booted..

Downtown Chicago to Arlington Hts. is a 25 miles which in the morning translate via driving 1 hour and 45 mintues coming back maybe 2 hours. There is transit bus PACe but I have no idea about it.

My suggestion is stay in Arlington hts and find place around there ... some great golf in that area and Glenview

No I'll fly. Looking into it the last few days, I'll probably stay in Arlington Hts and take a cab to one of the L stations to go downtown when I want to.

Stay at the Acme hotel it's a nice little boutique hotel is relatively cheap and only a block or so from the mag mile. It's located in the near north which is a great area.

You can get the Blue line from Ohare or I think its Belmount Ave. into Chicago.
You can get a two day pass for $12.00
If you know how to use the sub-way system ... great idea

If you want to know of someplace I like and the area that have some good fun bars .. let me know
My last two trips my , wife and daughter have been having a great time in the Wicker Park Area

Just decided around a fire at 2am that me and 3 buddies are driving to Chicago tomorrow to eat at Portilos and Lou Malnatis and hang out in Chicago for the day. Haven't done a spontaneous road trip in awhile so should be fun.

Haha that's awesome I hope it wasn't a drunken thing that you'll no longer do now that you're awake and hungover.

I am going into work until about 2 today, let me know if you're at the Lou malnatis on state street downtown I work next door.

We were totally sober and are an hour and 50 minutes away, haha. Just passed West Lafayette. We're doing Portilos as soon as we get there, think it's by Ontario and Michigan Ave? I'm driving, someone else is in charge of destinations, lol.
