At what percentage are you a spec race?

  The 50 hot women threads got me thinking. What makes a white person white, or a black one black. Seems that white people must be 100% Caucasian to be white, but any mix of a race automatically erases whiteness.
  
  Is it a convenience thing? Or is there a specific percentage that makes you one race over the other?

  I'm 100% Caucasian.
  
  But, I'm also 1/4 Slovak. But, also born in Appalachian...so I am Appalachian Slovak American.
