The worst thing your dog has eaten?

  • Ironman92
Well my 7 month old puppy got into a package of sparklers......chewed the hell out of the metal part and gnawed off the part that lights making a god awful mess and pretty much ate the box.

Two sessions of multiple dog puking and two gigantic piles of shit in the house later....he seems ok.

Glad my wife bought generic firework type things last 4th of July and more glad it was kept in the house?

My wallet. She spat out the chewed-up plastic and cash, but ate the leather.

American Express customer service rep: "Mr. Flambe', was the card ever out of your posssesion?"
Me: "Well, the dog had it for a couple of hours - any charges from Omaha Steaks?"
AMEX CSA: (mute for two minutes)

We have one that goes on kicks of eating poop. Other than that, nothing of note.

They say dogs take on the personality of their owner. Some of you have really stupid dogs. Just saying.

When she was a puppy she would get anxiety and claw at the closet wall and eat the drywal. She also ate a brand new 360 game while still a puppy. Now she's the calmest most passive dog ever.

Not my dog, but my wife removed 4 diapers from a golden retriever last week

Craziest thing my dog has eaten were unused syringes

Nothing crazy. He swallowed the end of a rawhide bone once, but puked it up shortly after. One of our labs swallowed a whole bar of soap and was sick for a few days, and my brother's Dachshund ate an entire sock. My SiL spent a couple hours trying to get him to throw it up, and he ended up being fine.

I got a dog about 3 months ago from a shelter and they said he was 3-5 years old. Only thing he has ate so far is an ant trap and he really didn't eat it just chewed up a plastic corner of it pretty good. Thankfully he didn't actually eat any of the ant bait stuff in it.

My current dog has never eaten anything to out of the ordinary, but the dog I had growing up ate an entire box of Decon (mice poison). Vet said to force feed him Peroxide to induce vomiting. I did and the dog puked for hours. Two days later he was back to his normal retard self.

One box of SOS pads ... Note: to make a dog vomit one tablespoon of salt force down it's throat ... 5 minute later everything comes up and up and up ... I suggest this process is done outside .. the vomiting last a hour...

My dog ate a turd and I cleaned her mouth out the best I could. Nobody in my family wanted anything to do with her. At that time, we had an exchange student from Taiwan living with us. He was so happy to announce the next morning that the dog had slept with him for the first time.

Ours at a light bulb as a puppy. Didn't really seem phased by it, actually.

Dog-related question: anyone had experience with knee surgery (TTA) on dogs? Ours completely tore his last weekend and is having surgery tomorrow on it.

There was a dead body on my property that my guard dogs got into while roaming around outside a few years ago.

I guess, how the recovery usually goes, any tips (other than keeping him in his crate full-time while rehabbing)?

If I had a dog eat something, I'd probably just return it to the pound and get another one.

Wife says that restricting movement is the absolute most important thing. If you let them move around too much, they risk blowing out the other leg.
