Question for runners regarding pain

    He may be right.

    The shoes you've only had for a few months is what may of caused this weird pain. A pain that slowly comes on and isn't always noticeable isn't something you did immediately, like a tear/strain/pull.
    For example if your new shoes have a slight different heel height than previous shoes, even that could be a cause.

    Okay, well I'll keep the shoes in mind if this doesn't go away. And ya, I had been doing a similar stretch for it. Same position but the leg on the ground fully extended instead of tucked. I'm not sure if the bent knee vs. extended straight makes a difference for the non-stretching hip but I'll try.

    Good stuff. Even lay on your back and pull your knee up and slightly across your chest. You'll feel your butt stretch if doing right.

    These were a few stretches my chiropractor showed me years ago when my spine was really crooked.

    Really? I've always put ankle on my opposite knee and pulled on my shin for glutes.
