Question for runners regarding pain

The shoes you've only had for a few months is what may of caused this weird pain. A pain that slowly comes on and isn't always noticeable isn't something you did immediately, like a tear/strain/pull.
For example if your new shoes have a slight different heel height than previous shoes, even that could be a cause.

Fly4FunOkay, well I'll keep the shoes in mind if this doesn't go away. And ya, I had been doing a similar stretch for it. Same position but the leg on the ground fully extended instead of tucked. I'm not sure if the bent knee vs. extended straight makes a difference for the non-stretching hip but I'll try.

Good stuff. Even lay on your back and pull your knee up and slightly across your chest. These were a few stretches my chiropractor showed me years ago when my spine was really crooked. -
