Bottom 10 states you'd want to live in
-
SportsAndLadyMy friends and i were debating this topic the other day. The tornado thread got me again thinking about it. I think this would be my list:
1) New Mexico
2) North Dakota
3) South Dakota
4) Nebraska
5) Oklahoma
6) West Virginia
7) Utah
8) Idaho
9) Missouri
10) Arkansas
What's yours? -
SnotBubblesI say fuck the desert. Anywhere else I'm okay with. Even Oklahoma. I'd just build a really strong basement.
Oh, and I wouldn't want to live in swampy areas like Louisiana and stuff. Swamps are humid, hot and gay. -
like_thatNo particular order, but: the dakotas, oklahoma, alaska, idaho, nebraska, new mexico, montana, wyoming, west va.
-
said_aouitaIf we talking least want to live in, I'm only listing five.
Oklahoma, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa. -

HereticWhile I'd have to take some time to really decide which 10 were the worst, I do know that they'd include: Alaska and a mix of the deep south and great plains (not just the "OMG! Tornadoes!" factor that things like what I saw from yesterday brings out, but mainly just how flat and boring they are.
Alaska, Louisiana, Alabama, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Mississippi, Texas and the Dakotas. We'll go with those 10 as my prelim list. -
Sonofanump1) Alaska
2) Vermont
3) New Hampshire
4) North Dakota

reclegend22Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Idaho, Iowa, Florida (snakes and other mysterious creatures), Texas (spiders the size of softballs), New Mexico, Kentucky and West Virginia.
States I'd most want to live in other than Ohio are New York, Nevada, California, Washington, Oregon or North Carolina. -
Azubuike24Due to my profession, that's mostly how I will rank the top 7. The rest are just because I'd have no interest in living there.
1. Michigan
2. New York
3. California
4. Maryland
5. Virginia
6. Pennsylvania
7. New Jersey
8. Massachusetts
9. Louisiana
10. Oklahoma -

Lake Erie and Appalachian mountains are both in Ohio.
Hope this helps. -
Azubuike24It all depends what you are looking for. Weather, cost of living, politics of the state, etc. While not the most aesthetically pleasing or most reputable, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina and Indiana are great places to be if you find the right place. Columbus, Lexington, Indianapolis, Charlotte, Nashville and many others are all a great mix of everything, IMO.

I've lived in all 3, I can't believe you'd choose those over some of the other horrendous states in this country.Azubuike24;1445879 wrote:Due to my profession, that's mostly how I will rank the top 7. The rest are just because I'd have no interest in living there.

Funny, Utah and Idaho are creeping up towards the top of my "want to live" states.SportsAndLady;1445856 wrote:My friends and i were debating this topic the other day. The tornado thread got me again thinking about it. I think this would be my list:

8) Tennessee
9) Rhode Island
10) Delaware -
FatHobbitI've never really thought about states I wouldn't want to live in. I don't really like cold/snow and I don't particularly want to live in the city. I like the cost of living in Ohio. Other than that I don't really have an answer.

sportchamppsMississippi
Arkansas
Alabama
Missouri
Iowa
New Mexico
North Dakota
South Dakota
Michigan
Kentucky
The first two are the worst by far for me. I've been all over those two state and the way most people live is so sad. In Mississippi a lot of their home are the size of storage sheds. -
justincredibleI forgot New Jersey. Fuck New Jersey.

Like I said, I think the times I have been there for work haven't been the most pleasant. I have some family in Richmond who love it.Raw Dawgin' it;1445887 wrote:I've lived in all 3, I can't believe you'd choose those over some of the other horrendous states in this country. -

Haha I actually liked New Jersey. Loved how close it was to Atlantic city, New York, and Philly.
