To make things worse, I got rear ended on my way home about an hour ago.
Let me guess, it was on Hamilton?

But, sorry for diverting the thread topic.

    Haha wrong again, fuck face.

She was hit. They called the GF. She went and got her in a neighborhood this afternoon. We took her to a hospital. There's no broken bones or internal bleeding. She has some severe cuts, that require surgical repairs. They need to be cleaned and what not, but she's fine. She'll be home tonight and will need to go back in a few days to finish off the repair.

We are very happy. Thanks to dlazz and hang for your willingness to help.

    PS fuck rec

Figured she'd get hit sooner or later. Where'd she end up?

I don't know exactly. She was heading back towards the country club.

    Thanks, bub.

Glad the dog should be fine.

My parent's dog was shot by some fucking Amish last year with a bow. Right in the kill zone (front shoulder). Pretty amazing the dog ended up living and made a full recovery after a risky removal/surgery. Somehow the arrow missed the internal organs.

That's crazy. Lucky like mine. Good things happen sometimes.

    Great to read.

A long time ago we went to visit my grandparents in Missouri and took the dog with us. We were going for a week. On our second day there, the dogs got loose. We spent a majority of our trip there looking for them. We finally snagged them on day 6.

The lady that called wasn't going to approach her, just watch her and wait for us. A minute before my GF gets there, some dumb bitch stops and tried to get her. She took off. I got there a few minutes later and we look for a minute. I then see her and call my GF over to try and call her. She ran. I chased. We lost her in the nursery across the street. Someone said she went into the neighborhood in front of the country club so we go in there. My GF spots her, calls her name and she bolts. So we aren't going to yell or make sudden movements. I then spot her under a tree on the course, she's laying down. I slowly walk forward with food outstretched. She starts walking the opposite way. I follow her for about 5 minutes. I'm getting a little closer until I'm about 10 feet from her. She turns a corner, golfer scares her and she takes off. I chase again. Go into a fucking awful woods and hear her collar, I spot her again, but I can't move in the woods quick enough and I lost her. I think I guessed the wrong way when I got the creek because I didn't see her again. We set up a trap, and head back around 1. GF gets a call about 215 saying she was spotted crossing new Albany road into the Giant Eagle parking lot.

That bitch is moving. She won't go up to anyone. I was so close to her.

Rec, you started on a fucking topic that no one gave a shit about. Then started spewing a bunch of shit. Aren't you the same guy who was an ass hole on the Boston thread? I hope you get jumped with a tire iron and eat your food through a straw until you die from someone forgetting to feed you.

I know this was stressful for you and I'm glad everything ended up ok....but this post wore me out and made me lol.

I own a similar dog that likely looks even more the same....hopefully that never happens.

I just pm'd you hasbeen.... Hope the GF is calmed down now. Skylar (sp) got lucky so play that mega million (600 million$$$) tonight:D. You might too!

Anyways, glad you got her back and alive. Play the Tom Petty song to her "You got lucky babe" to her. I know its probably not the name of the song but the lyrics fit the topic.

Hopefully none of the joggers I stopped will bother you with "sightings" of other lost dogs:D. Good luck to Skylar and update us!!!

Rec has been weird lately. Comes onto a thread and finds a subtopic that's barely being discussed, posts some ridiculous opinion, and when people line up to oppose him, he becomes completely passive about it like he never cared in the first place.

Anyways, it was sounding like you were never going to catch the dog, so way to go.

Here's a tip I learned from a fellow beagle owner. (I own one as well) My dog likes to break collars and everything else and escape her chain. Usually, she doesn't get to far but the minute I know she is loose, I throw dirty laundry and all my doors. For some reason, they will come back/stay around your scent. Every time I've done this, the dog has come back to the house. One time she was at least 3-4 blocks away and after I did that, she came right back.

He's actually been PMing me as well. He is just asking for how her recovery is going.

She's slept a lot that last couple days, but she was pretty active yesterday. It's sad and cute at the same time watching her run on 3 legs. The cuts do not look to be infected and she doesn't seem to be in much pain.

She was outside playing while I was sitting drinking a beer on the patio when she walked to the back door and just stared at me. I let her in and followed. She headed to her bed in the living room, stopped right before and just stared at me. She was saying "I'm ready to lay down and I'm not doing it alone." needy bitch.

I did notice she was limping more last night probably because she ran around quite a bit during the day. Something we'll have to manage.

    She's getting better everyday.

Still deserves negged for not looking as hard as I did.

New Albany Country Club, which is right next to New Albany Presbyterian.
