Bumble Bees

  How do you get rid of them. I am getting harrassed from the time i get out of the car till i get halfway up the stairs. Its a second floor apt and the balcony is above the roof and they are all over out there too..
  
  these are the gigantic kind of bees, not even sure what they are called or even if they sting. but i want them gone. any natural or unnatural remedies?

  and yeah, they sting but aren't as aggressive as hornets

  Depends on what type of bee it is. But contact the landlord to spray.
  
  If they are Carpenter Bees the landlord will want to get rid of them cause they bore/nest in wood and cause some structural issues (not usually, but sometimes). Males do not sting, females do not really sting unless you swat them continuously/pick them up.

  well i just moved there and i went running yesterday and they are everywhere around the complex. its camden place apartments behind tuttle mall. they have lots of trees, flowers and these bees are all over so im not sure they are going to do much for me personally. but for 1000 a month rent this is annoying

  You can probably at least spray the property which would likely keep them off the steps and balcony etc.

  i am searching on google but still not sure...they are the biggest bees i have ever been around, big and furry. they do seem to be around the wood. the stairs to our apt are larger than average wooden steps. so a carpenter bee may make sense. they dont seem agressive, but my gf doesnt like them and her german sheperd likes them even less.

  lol, ironically my two Goldens love them (aka, try to eat them). They occasionally catch one in the mouth and have not been stung yet. I hope they are Carpenter for your sake. Those can be treated fairly easily by spraying the wood and they are harmless.

  I'm sure they are wood bees and If I remember correctly, they are not aggressive. Don't f*** with them and they won't f*** with you.

  Haha...My golden does the same thing. What great dogs...gotta love them.

  they havent been aggressive at all..but i was smoking some pulled pork this weekend and had to be on the patio for extended time and it was just annoying having them 'Hover' by my head and face. they were very active seemed to be mating. but just the volume of them was disconcerting. the dog i guess ate a bee a few years ago and got stung and apparently has a good memory.
  
  now that i know what type they are i am much less concerned

  I second the racket, but I use a badminton one. I would also have spray all the time. Spray them in the air. Spray them when they land.

  If they are carpenter bees (which I think it sounds like they are) the males don't sting. The females do, but they mostly stay in the holes they bore into your apartment.

  I got stung by one of those bees once. It was almost white, though, not yellow. It was also the largest bee I've ever seen. Probably 2x as big as those guys usually are.
  
  Are there any sprays or anything that work to prevent bees/wasps rather than just killing them after the fact? Wasps and yellow jackets love the outside of my apartment building.

  This. Some men just call them "wood bees" and ignore them. They won't hurt you.

  Had a situation 'similar' to that when I lived in AZ. There was a nest inside the wall of me and my brother's apartment on the back patio; bees everywhere. We opened the sliding door, threw a bucket full of bleach and ran like hell.

  I can handle bees/snakes/spiders to an extent, but a scorpion? Fuck that

  I was lucky enough to never run into one. Someone I worked with out there found one in his shoe in his closet! If that were me I probably would have moved out, no way I'd be able to sleep at night thinking about that.
