I get kidney stones like most people get candy. I've had/passed about 15 of them since my first one in July 2009. Every time it feels like I've been kicked in the groin and it just won't stop hurting. Fortunately, I've never experienced the back pain. For the worse ones I've also been nauseated (sp?) and needed to go to ER for MRI or xrays. Percoset is my best friend during the most severe ones.

Another vote for kidney stones. When I had them, it felt like I was repeatedly kicked in the balls. I also had abdominal pain, but no back pain.

The pain went away. If it comes back I am definitely going to the doctor. I might make an appointment anyway now that I'm 30 and outside of one trip to the hospital I haven't been to the doctor since I was 18.

I mean, I'm constantly handling my balls. I've never noticed anything odd down there before.

Sounds like you need a release. Try having sex with your wife.

If it's a kidney stone the pain will be back. The pain subsides once the stone settles in an area but once it starts moving again, it's back! The first stone I had took 9 weeks to pass. The rest have been considerably quicker with the exception of the two that were medically removed.
    Hope this helps!

I'm terrified of kidney stones. This does not help. :(

I must have been lucky, mine passed after 3 hours. Pain only lasted an hour, the actually passing did not hurt, it was when it moved from one area to another that I dropped on the ground like a little girl into the fetal position.
