Did he go to far?

    hmm does drunk driving and hitting someone and killing them deserve the death penalty? This is what it boils down too. I do wonder though, why is it that drunk drivers who kill people are so evil but those that are not drunk who kill people are okay? At least drunk people have a reason why they crashed, perhaps stupidity or carelessness is better received than drunkenness?

    Was it the wise, well thought out choice he made? No. Do I blame him for it? No.
    I would like to think I would be too concerned about helping my children to worry about the other guy in that situation.

    He obviously went too far. The acceptance (actually not just acceptance, more like full-on support) of vigilantism in society is pretty disturbing to me.
