Vasectomy

dlazzAnyone here get one? Is it worth it?
I've been tossing the idea around for the past few months. I've never wanted kids, and I don't see that changing. I read online that apparently some doctors are reluctant to do it with young < 25 year olds.

P.S. I'll bet this thread quickly falls apart since it deals with pee pees and fornication. -
Pick6You have to have sex to have kids.
-
LJAll I know is that it is outpatient and to do it the morning of the 1st (2nd) round of the NCAA toruney because your work should give you medical leave so you get the whole weekend to lay around and watch basketball

and about being the most boring dad ever comment. Dad's/parents arent for the entertainment of children nor should they be there to be the best friends to thid kids.dlazz;1419085 wrote:Anyone here get one? Is it worth it?

No deductible or anything like that? Surely, (dont call me shirley) ya would miss some work or whatever....dlazz;1419096 wrote:Insurance covers it -
dlazzYeah, missing work sure is awful. :rolleyes:

thavoiceWell ya would either not get paid or have to use some vacation/sick time.
Probably not a good idea to do it that young. Minds can change when you get a little older...plus that could be the kicker for some gorgeous woman to not want to keep ya around -

The peace of mind would be priceless, plus I'd rather have it completely off the table instead of having an event where it's too late.thavoice;1419099 wrote:Well ya would either not get paid or have to use some vacation/sick time.

I wanna say I saw an article title that said that is the most popular time for men to get one.LJ;1419091 wrote:All I know is that it is outpatient and to do it the morning of the 1st (2nd) round of the NCAA toruney because your work should give you medical leave so you get the whole weekend to lay around and watch basketball
Or someone posted in on facebook, which then in fact makes it true. -

Plus's are;
1. Never have to worry about any type of birth control or accidental pregnancy
2. Just like FL orange juice...all juice and no seed!
Negs are;
1. Can't think of any right now -

mcburg93I did it when I was 21 and had to see a psychiatrist two times a week for two months before they would let me do it. The surgery was not that bad the best advice I can give is buy two bags of frozen peas and use them as your ice packs after the surgery they mold better to the area.

Fab4RunnerI am on the fence re: men getting a vasectomy. I understand the benefits, but I would feel terrible urging a man to have one and then down the line we separate and he cannot have kids with the next woman he decides to be with.
Obviously I hope none of that ever happens, and I do realize that in the end it would be his choice to go through with it. I just know that it would suck to fall in love with/marry/etc. a man who can't have kids, and I would hate to put anyone else in that position. -
dlazzNo woman would ever fall in love with me because I have a cat, drive a Hyundai, and I'm boring.
-

Huh. I guess that's a big difference between me and you because if my wife and I separate I don't give a shit about the next guy she wants to bang.Fab4Runner;1419159 wrote:I would feel terrible urging a man to have one and then down the line we separate and he cannot have kids with the next woman he decides to be with. -
